  1. bump... Happy to combine postage with some of the Victoria sovs on my other listing. Could also potentially combine with a 1/4 oz gold lion as a bundle if somebody is after both sizes.
  2. @James32 thanks for the tag, certainly more experienced in here than me but to start you off.... @Rafal My price guide is a little out of date (Seabys 1965) One sold in April same grade and year here https://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotviewer.php?LotID=6289452&AucID=7264&Lot=30&Val=0351352b7b9c0c974542e3c49e45e3c8 Also some other sold prices on eBay though mostly ungraded examples https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=1857+gold+sovereign&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=1857+au58+sovereign&_osacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1
  3. 'Machin' sovs were the 2nd Elizabeth II portrait known after the engraver Arnold Machin available from 1974 The small letters after the date in the listing are the mint marks, eg the mint mark M for Melbourne, S for Sydney, no mint mark denotes London minted sovs On Young Victoria sovs such as these the mint mark is below the base of the neck. On later sovs you can find the mint mark on the George and Dragon side above the date

  5. 1911 - 1932 King George V Included an example of each mintmark see if you can spot them all Large head 1911 - 1928 Small head 1929 - 1932
  6. I've seen a few people remove coins from slabs for their collection. For eg a couple of graded bullion coins that were priced at bullion price. Also a large collection of sovs known as the 'Bentley Collection' the collector had removed a number of coins from the graded slabs and in a lot of cases these were noted in the auction catalog. When you say.. Removing from a coin with details ... to sell on.... I hope people wouldn't do that and try to pass it off as a problem free coin
  7. Hi Folks, I'm definitely not doing a 2nd 3rd 4th date run of the bullion sovereigns but.... I'm looking for another 1924 George V bullion sovereign, ideally ungraded in reasonable bullion condition. I would consider a graded one but I'm not specifically chasing the highest known grades just standard bullion condition is fine Please PM with photos and asking price if you've got one
  8. Looks like a useful tool and a slick design, well done 👍🏼 If only I had some sovereigns to test with it 👀
  9. I will include freee postage on the Tudor Lion
  10. So if I took the photo 3 times focused on each coin then merge it?
  11. A further note... the self store type places usually do not cover cash, bullion, jewellery etc with their insurances. Maybe you could insure them with a 3rd party and use a storage facility like that but an example of one of their insurance terms below... I'd personally stick with purpose built deposit boxes https://cdn.loknstore.co.uk/reports/Insurance-Sept-2022.pdf
  12. Expect something like £120 per year to £200 per year for a small box. Perhaps one of your businesses needs one for its important documents ...
  13. Safe deposit box [place] Eg... Safedeposit box Edinburgh https://edinburghsafedeposit.co.uk/ (Not necessarily recommending this company, not one I've used)
  14. Nice to visit some of these yesterday. Young Vic's in left George V right.
  15. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4324046 Potentially the next coin but date unknown. I'd expect in the Autumn if there is any kind of pattern
  16. https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/info/sovereign-mintages You can get an idea of specific mintages on here too
  17. New arrivals (1 Oz Lion and Yale not new but to show the set so far)
  18. Hi Folks Update: sold thanks 13 X Silver Brits £sold including RMSD within UK only. Straight from tube most are fine but some have slight milking. To clarify there are only 12 in the picture but this listing is for 13 coins I missed one that was in the bottom of the tube
  19. https://atkinsonsbullion.com/sell-to-us/gold/gold-coins?page=1&pageFilters=1245&nid=20813&sort=featured&perPage=24&isSelling=True&facets=1245 To start you off there's an example of what one dealer is paying. Spot x weight = current value Projecting the value on an unspecified date in the future might need a crystal ball.
