  1. Hi all, I’m after some capsules as per the picture below. The 1/10’s H16 capsules I’d bought from @morezone but I’m fairly sure I had the last of his stock. The Sovereigns I received from a purchase, they look like 22mm Air Tites but I’ve only found one seller on eBay similar in the States, who is quite expensive. Anybody help me out or point me in the right direction please?

    Happy New Year

Happy new year all, may 2024 bring you all good health and good fortune.
  3. Two little bits I’d been meaning to get for the kids 1/10ths collections, good to end the year buying.
  4. Note to self. Tick on date runs. Small tick on 22/23 Sovs and 1/10’s. Fail on Silver sales. Bit like all my early school reports, could do better 😂
  5. Im fairly sure someone once told me they were multi purpose boxes. Lift the tray out and there’s like a space underneath the couple ive got, I’ve fit a couple of proofs in the space. It’s still odd though, I’d bought them as date runs from birth for my kids. Can’t really fit a 21st up top, so a couple went underneath with the proofs.
  6. Miles cheaper than what I paid last year from Germany. Nice these 1/10’s are hitting U.K dealers more.
  7. Anyone know if they are keeping QE2 on the coins for the series or does KC3 appear from 25?
  8. So much good advice on TSF, one piece not yet mentioned, if you’re totally new to stacking, then stay clear of eBay; it’s full of traps, particularly for beginners.
  9. Ah right, wouldn’t have known buying no more than a couple each year. Rarely heard comments about them damaged, which might explain it.
  10. Was thinking that was always the case with ones I’d bought, unless someone is splitting from a roll, you might find a few loose ones circulating for that reason I guess.
  11. Brilliant aim, you’re in the right place for sure.
  12. Switched to Nationwide due to an incentive, but more thanks to Severn Trent water telling me they had a security breach of my details last August (something they fessed up to several months later 🤬, but that’s an aside). Nationwide are seriously hard work and user unfriendly to transact payments compared to my previous bank. My intention is to go back soon, as I can’t recall many issues and twice as simple to transact payments debit or credit.
  13. Regret not finding this place sooner,. Not selling unwanted silver sooner. Whereas after a couple of years dithering, possibly selling proofs the wrong time, or was it too cheaply due to laziness maybe or dumb ignorance.
  14. WOW…that’s a bit of an hike, I’m definitely not getting rid of my 2021’s but resigned to missing the boat on the 2020’s
  15. I’m pretty certain I’ve read a thread or post on here, where someone did exactly that. Tried briefly using the search to look for it and couldn’t but did find this small thread @AndyC44
  16. Yeah I know, just thought I’d mention it, in case you’re way past my level of craving and can’t resist it 😂
  17. if you’re really desperate for a 2020 https://www.apmex.com/product/205054/2020-australia-1-10-oz-gold-kookaburra-bu @daca put this link up and made me blink. I’m also looking but there’s very few seemingly come for sale.
  18. Nothing special, just plain bullion sovereigns I’ve been saving up to add to the kids stacks.
  19. To attract date run collectors would be my guess. I’d do it one at a time on eBay around 3 years back, sometimes two. Never had a problem in truth selling odd (or pairs of) coins. Could hold out for a higher and better selling price to a wider audience, even taking account of fees. Rarely use eBay now though, had separate issues selling some discs and a bike, where I went back to the buyers property to collect and offer refunds. It’s too much hassle.
  20. Had a similar experience to yours last year with EMK, it beats me why they cannot write “investment gold coin”, those 3 words could save a U.K customer a lot of hassle. Maybe they can’t be bothered, maybe they don’t care about U.K customers or it’s now insignificant to their overall business. Shame as like yourself, despite their previous good customer service, it’s doubtful I’ll buy off them again.
  21. Thanks for flagging that, asked on the new coins coming soon thread and the very reliable @daca was again on the ball, but none were U.K based. BBP used to get something of a bad press from a certain Mr L.C on here, but they are stealing a March on 1/10’s available, as once again Chards are missing the trick on these.
  22. Nice, anyone know where they are on sale?
  23. Thanks for the tag @stefffana, Kookaburras are the only date run Silver coin I’m persevering with, even the tax doesn’t put me off. A few years back I discovered the gold 1/10’s version and there now seems to be U.K dealers interested, which makes it less challenging with the VAT reclaim issues from elsewhere, so this might interest you too @8ace. Both are for my kids, they seem to like them.
  24. Pleased to get my hands on these two for my kids 1/10’s collection. Will be looking for other ideas over the weekend, still need the first Kooks for a date run.
