i have been looking to try to add a few proof 1oz britannias to my lot, i have managed to do so with some success, albeit ltd i realise i am now looking at some of the more desirable years along with many others , i would like to knowi if anyone can steer me in the best places to look, purchase and very importantly to be able to get uk based prices. if anyone can throw any light on this for me i would be extremely gratefull for any help, i know ebay is ok for this and that but generally its  people just wanting to sell , it just doesnt offer the whole package.

i will await to be bombarded with peoples knowledge far greater than mine, regards arne.

Why do they need to be ngc, or even NGC graded.

You could try ebay, some of them might even be genuine!

It depends which graded Britannias you are looking for, some the special reverse years can fetch a whopping premium for certain years, if it’s these you are looking for it might be best to buy the sets keep the sizes you want and then sell the rest…….this can be very lucrative if done right, or at least heavily subsidise the coins you keep.

if it’s the normal years these sets can be picked up at relative low premium again you can break the sets up, if it’s NGC PF70UC all the way then you will most likely pay a premium for the privilege, most dealers will have some in stock

nice one in chards

Thank you all who have replied, I am thinking I may not have explained myself or predicament particularly well, for clarity it is silver I Oz brits I am after.

I have all years covered in some form of graded coin some from pf 67 upwards, some are pcgs but mainly NGC, my goal is to achieve PF70 in every year available I know not all years were struck so I'll have to accept the best available from those years.so my method was to find and purchase the best I can get and then sell on what they are replacing , my problem lies in where to source these coins , I guess if the truth be known it's carry on as usual and try and grow a patience level, not something I am renowned for.

All that said I do genuinely appreciate people's input, regards arne.

Look to buy a proof in your missing years, either individually or as a set, then send off for grading. Be a lot cheaper  and easier to do.
