Hallo all , can anyone advise me on the criteria for grading older sovereigns, I have about a dozen or so that I am considering getting done but rather than waste my and the graders time and money is there anywhere or one they can be taken for a visual once over, I am not after anything for nothing and am happy to pay.

all the coins are from the p, m, s, sa, or i mints.
any advice gratefully received.

regards Arne.

Pretty sure @GoldDiggerDave will give an honest assessment by private message, although he will need good quality pictures to judge from. reach out through Pm and see what he reckons??

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Hi Arne,

I can do this for you  please send me the best pictures you have, there is a limitation of what you can see and assess with the pictures but should be able to give you some indications.

I offer the full grading service via the NGC, I can also conserve coins very few people offer or have the skill,   and I can  also research/identify  and price sovereigns for you.

I have had some good  results with George V sovereigns recently  I have some in my personal collection both NGC encapsulated and loose  in different grades so will be able to show you some examples.  Same for a spread of Victoria (all  heads) plus Edward VII sovereigns.

Just give me a PM when you are ready.

Thanks

Dave
