The Royal Mail is due to release four Queen Elizabeth II memorial stamps on 10th November 2022.

These are based on black and white photographs that appeared in an earlier release but black margins and the years "1926-2022" have been added.

It is interesting to note that King Charles' head or cypher do not seem to have been added.

Imo these are rather unmemorable.

I guess that might tie in with the oddity in UK stamps where the UK is the only country in the world not to have its country name on the stamp because the monarch is so widely known.

You have QEII on there so no need to put anything to do with KCIII, possibly?

I would imagine with QEII collectables that it will go the same way as the Queen Victoria collectables, in a 100 years time everyone will be after the earlier items where the young head portraits are more popular than the older effigy.
