2012 Chinese Silver 1 Ounce Lunar Year of the Dragon 10 Yuan Renminbi Coin - Attractive Design

2012 Silver 1 Ounce Lunar Year of the Dragon 10 Yuan Renminbi Coin Peoples Bank of China

I do like the design of many Chinese coins. Is it just me, or have they got something we are missing out on?

I've got a feeling that I should know what the design above the dragon is.

As @paulmerton kindly pointed out "It's another dragon"

"More obvious with the eye coloured in?" See:

Although the five stars above the Palace of Heaven design is nothing special, the intricate borders manage to lift it into something better.

😎

Looks pretty decent, the Chinese symbols in the circular pattern between the borders looks really pleasing.

Where does this coin get minted?

Beijing, I think, although I seem to remember that the People's Republic of China has some branch mints. I may be wrong.
