Britannia Question

Recommended Posts

I can't seem to find a list of Brits that were minted in 2021.

I have 1/10 (on the way) 1/4, 1 oz and 10 oz. I've seen that there is a 1Kg , then can't find it again. Is there a 5oz, or oriental border?

I only collect bullion, so no need for proofs.

Does anyone know what really is out there?

Over to you good people🙂

The biggest problem with the RM is that they tend to release coins on a whim - often with no information available to the general public (and often to regular purchasers too) - they also have been known to release coins internationally that were not available in the UK. There are several fractional Brits out in the wild - 2006 tenth ounce bullion, 2011 half ounce bullion, the Gairsoppa 2013 & 2014 quarter ounce bullion...

As far as i am aware the Britannia bullion coin was released in tenth ounce, quarter ounce, one ounce and 10 ounce in 2021. There was no oriental boarder released (these were 2018-2020 only). Kilo coins are generally proof only with the exception of the Queens Beasts 2021 completer.

Takes for the info. Which means I've got the 'set' in silver and gold. Now for that 1 oz platinum and job done

I was going through Numista for Britannias and it does get confusing if you want to try to sort out the proofs from the bullion and the various weights, silver percentages, and designs.  I made a table but when I was done, I realized I wasn't going to collect all the Britannia bullion coins anyway- so I tossed it.  If one wanted to collect all the proofs that would be an accomplishment.

Yes, that is a very helpful site.  But why didn't you tell me about it before I researched it on Numista.  😀. Kidding.  I like researching stuff anyway.
