Not sure about the other coins but I have/had the Irish ones, tried to sell here, but no luck, found buyers on the dark side,

At this price the 1/4oz Irish coin is a bargain in my humble opinion, you can't really find bullion quarter for this price, let alone proof.

Have I overpriced these proof coins?

Any advice would be appreciated

Hi, @MANJSK,

1. Your Irish gold coins are lovely and very well priced at only 6% premium. Maybe there are forum members who have not informations about this coin, so I want to tell them that this coin is limited edition of only 5500 coins minted, it is pure .999 gold, 7.8g, with a today's melting value of £368. See https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces99670.html.

I would buy them with no hesitation if I would have spare money.

2. The quarters, even they are are beautiful, the premium of 27.5% is a little too high in my opinion. I would try to sell them individually at £100 each or bundle of three at £285.

Kindest regards,

Stefan.

I agree with @stefffana, if you bundled the three for 285 I would take them and the two quarters off your hands in one deal if that worked for you?

I had some quarter sovs a year or two back and they were much slower moving than standard bullion coins. Dealers not willing to pay more for them. I did buy them cheap so I got out OK. Everything will sell of the price is low enough but whoever bought the ones I had initially would have paid eyewatering premiums and lost out

have some of the more ‘traditional’ quarters (same designs as usual Sovereign) and they cost between£90 and a £100, however I have paid way over for a proof, but like halves and full it depends on the year and design. Forget premiums for a minute, much as it would be great to be able to buy full sovereigns it is not always possible to and a gold coin is a gold coin!

Pm incoming buddy

I'm afraid I couldn't do this, didn't realise there was only one coin and I really wanted two so this is still open, can't see them hanging about as seems like a great deal just wasn't quite what I was after.

Good luck with sale though buddy
