Today I bought.....

Recommended Posts

That's good to know - I'm never sure what they're worth. I talk to the guy every week and he always has the sets - all in original condition etc. I may be able to persuade him one day when he needs the money

When you see them going on eBay for £150, you have to take into account the 13.4% fees and bellend tax (people overbidding, me included).

That brings them down to the £110-120 mark, at which they are a useful deal in my book.

Today (well yesterday now) I bought a sunshine mint 1g gold bar. Not really for investing due to the premium, but I like to try to have 1 of everything that takes my fancy!

It's quite a premium (and rightly so at 1g) - I really fancy one.

2 x 100g bars, got my doubts wether they'll arrive from hatton garden metals   some £18 less than atkinsons   im not sure that's correct , but checked 3 other companies , the hatton garden ones were £43 or so   fingers crossed

£108.14 inc delivery

I don't understand.  I thought Hatton Garden Metals only did 500g and 1kg bars.

Anyway, 200g is 6.43 oz which at £108.14 delivered is £16.81/oz which is higher than what you're willing to pay.  You always go on about how you can pick up silver for spot or less from a fellow stacker and even at 20% over spot that is too high as you feel silver is too expensive at the current rate.
