Quarter OZ Britannia V Sovereign

I am looking to add some gold into my stack. I am doing this on a budget. I am torn between sovereigns and fractional Britannia's. 

 

What do you guys and girls recommend and why?

If you are on a budget - closest to spot gold coin is your best option. 

Are you looking to stack or looking to flip? That will also help determine your best option.

Buy a 1/4 oz then a sovereign and repeat this.

Buy what you like.  There is not a huge difference in premiums.

I like this idea at least then I get the best of both worlds does anyone disagree?

 

I am looking to stack/invest this is a long-term game. If there is a coin I have which hold a premium I will flip.

I just bought a couple of nice Sovs and will def continue to buy these. I like the history of these coins and they seem to have a small premium and close to melt/spot. Also easy to buy and sell.

I go Britannia's simply because i like the colour of pure gold. I bought a sov and a britannia when i started collecting and i liked the britannia more. So yea why dont you get one of each and see what you like.  
 

There are a lot of nice designs coins in 22c gold and i skip just because of the purity! 😅
