This is really bizarre. New Zealand was never a branch mint authorized by the Royal Mint to issue sovereign coins and now has decided to start in 2019. They are over a hundred years too late. Frankly these coins (not really sovereigns) are something to steer clear of.

The way they are milking it with the coin orientation will probably give the Royal Mint an idea on a future sovereign series.
