Kman, my first gold piece was a randomly dated half sovereign, which ended up coming in dated 1911 - that's definitely my favorite so far. It's strange seeing something over 100 years old that's so pristine. I think I want one from every year of the century now.. and a full sovereign for each too....

 

Danny-boy, I bought a tube of Guernsey 8 Doubles from the Guernsey mint before doing some proper research and discovering this forum, and I've also got some maple leaves, Brittanias and some old British coinage. I think Guernsey must have a better mint than they do over in London, because the doubles seem to be much higher relief than the Brittanias.

Blimey, you have been doing some great stacking already.

I do like the 8 doubles, but Britannias and Perth Mint lunars are my firm favourites now.

Britannias of late seem to be fairly poor in comparison to most other mints, save the RCM.
