THE GREAT SILVER MAPLE REVEAL (Will they or won't They)

Ladies & Gentlemen.

The idea is to guess how many (if any) of the 25 1oz 2014 Silver Maple Leaf Coins will have any of the dreaded Milk spots when opened.

I will post a video of the reveal in the middle of December, (Video size permitting). If not then hi quality images.

From the picture you can see they were vacuum sealed on the 6th April 2014. I will check the seal for tightness and report back late next week. I think there may also be an oxygen scavenger sachet just inside the lid, but not too sure.

Have a go it’s just for fun, unless you would like to pledge something to a charity of your choice, depending on the outcome when they are opened.

I will compile a list with peoples name in and post the guesses before I load the video and/or images.

So I think a good closing date for this would be Friday December 12th 2014 at 23:59.

Go on have a guess.

What is the history of these coins? How long after receiving them did you seal them?

Have you opened the tube?

Hi Cointreau

They were bought on the 11.1.14 from Celtic Gold. So allowing for delivery etc they were probably kept for around 5-6 weeks ish before being sealed.

I will have checked them to ensure they were OK and no major issues with them and then sealed them.

Hope this helps.

I'll go for 6, I had a look at a couple tubes of  my own maples a few months ago 2010&11 one had 7 milkys the other 8.

I've also got a few in a plastic coin sheet with some ASEs and few Brits I bought off the local coin shop about 2 years ago and they are milk spot free 1994 & 1995

Weird.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

20%

5 will be spotted. :)

Come on people, put your money where your moth is. I pledge €10 to a homeless charity in this area somewhere if I am wrong. For every coin over 5 I will add an additional €1. So if 10 are spotted I will add €5 etc...

How confident are you? Dare ya to make a bet, it's for charity after all, and it is (Will be) Christmas and all that! lol (Bah Humbug!!)
