**July/August 2018** Group order from The European Mint

Is it worth adding Gold to the group order? Their prices seem better than for gold generally on the bullion sites... but I presume it's the lack of VAT that really drives the value for the group order?

I'm torn between 2x 10oz silver Beasts or a 1/4 Oz Gold Britannia!

Best thing to do with gold is to compare what you can pay from some of the big dealers in the UK like Atkinson's and Hatton garden metals.

If it works out cheaper then go for it!

Thanks for doing this @BackyardBullion it is a great kindness to do organise this and taking all that time out of your day and Mrs BYB's day.

I'm still having a wee look about the site to see what I want to order.

Do I PM when I am ready to order?

Yes indeed - just drop me a message (with hyperlinks to each item) and tell me the quantity

Witthe pound being down against the euro, what are we looking at for a price per ounce on this group order for 2018 brits?

£355 ish for a roll of britannias. Then plus 1% international shipping and onwards postage. Probably about £365

I am very interested in getting involved in one of these orders but am wondering what the procedure is if a coin arrives damaged/in unsatisfactory condition? I've been wanting to add one - maybe two 10oz coins to my collection but this makes me nervous. I've put off ordering from Goldsilver.be due to the vast amount of negative reviews and complaints about damage combined with unhelpful customer service. I know many people will say these are just bullion coins but the 10oz coins have such a premium on them which would all be lost if they are scratched or otherwise damaged.

As for more standard 1oz coins... would they price match goldsilver.be on the 1oz incuse maple or the 150th Anniversary 1oz silver Canada Voyageur?

Thanks

Quality wise - there is limited to no recourse to replace items I am afraid. Purchasing as part of this group order is at your own discretion and risk.

That said, the quality from the EU mint has been exemplary for new coins. Older ones (e.g. random year maples) probably will be milky and toned. But modern new bullion has always been pretty close to perfect - but this is no guarantee.

I am afraid that they cannot price match the voyageur coin - I will have to ask about the incuse maple.
