I've paid some pretty disgusting BTC network fees when its been congested. The same goes for ETH to be fair. Thank god ETH is moving away from proof of work. I've been literal waiting hours for transactions to show up and get confirmed which I can tell you isn't a nice feeling. This can't be the future. Certainly not for enterprise companies and so on. Sorry but I no longer can buy into or read from the Michael Saylor and Max Kaiser rhetoric maxi book. The lightning network is pre-funded and centralised. Which many btc types are often bang on about being the benefit of btc? There are many drawbacks like both parties needing to be on line at the same time to send on the LN. BTC has its place for sure, but it can't be the future of payments. The digital gold myth has gone quiet of late too.

I don't understand why people are comparing CBDC to crypto? They are very different in concept and underlying technology. It's my understanding that CBDC are just a digital fiat ledger. They are the first steps in a move towards a cashless society that is a 100% monitored and controlled on what and how you spend their fiat. Probably soon after a forced social credit system which will tie straight in with CBDC (Be very worried). The digital Yen already exists and isn't a speculative investment with no use case other than more control for the CCP. CBDC do not solve many of the problems that ETH (DFI/NFTs) or what Ripple is doing with XRP(XRP being a bridge currency) in the cross boarder remittance payments sector for instance. BTC sucks as a payment method. It's very slow, expensive and energy intensive. That said it is outside of any single governmental direct control which has a value of it own many believe. Governments don't give a c**p about BTC other then it's just a escape goat and distraction from thier own shenanigans.

Only you can answer this because everyone's personal circumstances are different. Everyone's financial situation is different. Everyone's risk appetite is different. Crypto in generally is very volatile and that's where the money is lost and made. Financial advice and news on the internet is dog 💩 in general. And on the Tv come to think of it. 🤷‍♂️

Uganda has announced the discovery of 31 million metric tonnes of gold deposits in the country. A spokesperson from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development in Uganda, Solomon Muyita, said that these reports are aimed at attracting gold miners and investors. Did I miss this discussion? Surely this effects supply and future demand somewhat?

Got straight into the website, everything available! Went for the 2oz and 5 Oz silver and added them to the basket. Went to pay and it just kept kicking me back to the proceed to payment page. Kept trying for 10 to 12 attempts to pay till they both disappeared from my basket.

Possibly poor man's silver for me too. If the mintage on those are high I'll probably not bother at all.

I think I've got the single 2oz silver. Like many I didn't check first time around for the continuity tab/or it wasn't there?🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I payed for the single then went back for a second look to find there was two options for the silver 2oz. I thought 🤬 it, the tabs there to buy it so I did! I received emails for both. Feeling paranoid I gave the mint a call. The continuity is on hold pending review but the single is good. I did mention about just canceling the single if she could so I could have the continuity set but no joy. I was told to wait and see over the next few days which would be processed? She probably just wanted me off the phone 😆 Still happy of course 😊 Just a little annoyed about possibly missing the portrait coin.

I can understand why people have strong opinions on silver proof coin issues. Horses for courses I guess? Also people's risk tolerance and depth of wallet play's a role. I'd be unhappy if my silvers milked up too but in the next breath I like to see a naturally aged silver engraver's, Una etc. That said I've not seen my coins for month's...😳🤞

How many Una's or Grace's have ended up with milk spots etc that people know of? Is it not a given that eventually silver coins will end up with some sort of toning?

Got my 3GS back from grading and being conserved. I'm a little bit surprised and very happy with a 70 given the RM troubles. It just goes to show you never quite know what your going to get when grading a coin.
