Sold off my fraction gold bars from my early days of collecting since I no longer collect those and swapped it for the 1oz RAM Roo.
Took a stab at a 1986 1oz Panda from Atkinsons the other day.  Was just 2.5% over spot at the time and turned out to be in decent condition and came in a quadrum capsule although the foam was the wrong size.  Rehoused it now.

Happy to say - bought an elusive 1916 raw Indian Head $5 gold half eagle, SanFrancisco mint - and that pretty much wraps up my Indian Head set ( well - for now at least, as I have 1908-1916 run)! By far the most expensive of the date run, but with many of the 1916s already slabbed and over $800 for MS60+, I am just hoping my "investment" at over 2x melt price is worth it! Was a US eBay so will be a few weeks before I get it, and will post up  the entire set with pics. Looked in good shape - and better than some slabbed AU55/58s that are around. I don't slab - but must admit it's very tempting to do so to "validate" the crazy prices of some of these beautiful old coins. The seller claims it was from an old estate - but who knows; just hoping it's not been scrubbed clean...??

A 20g bar but not from a Mint.  This is made by Chow Tai Fook Jewellers in Hong Kong who were an official partner for the China 2015 Milan Expo.  Front shows the actual Pavilion that was built and used at the Expo.

Feels like I'm cheating on silver with this purchase.
Think an ounce of silver looks a little better than these

I'm limited to 2-3mb here so i have to reduce the image size by over 50%. I'm not focused on that point specifically just using centre focus, but there is plenty of detail i think to see, next time something interesting pops up i'll be sure to manual focus directly on it

10 shield back sovereigns, varying condition but all seem decent to me, macro shows what the eyes can't see of course. Pics are of 59 and 70, the 59 has part of the 5 missing and some sort of double strike on the 9? the 70 photographed pretty nice

That's fine then but I don't understand why they changed the COA size and have this a folded one and the previous issue a flat one.  I need consistency :)

Received the two beautifully poured 2oz silver inscribed medals with personalised coa and customized everything from @SilverStan Anniversary gifts for my parents and they were joyously received.....a huge hit. Thanks SilverStan for all the care and hard work you and your missus put into crafting them. You are an absolute star. And thank you also for including a cd-rom with it all with photos etc of the stages of crafting everything. That was a beautiful touch

With the Pobjoy Mint discontinuing it's relationship with the Isle of Man later in the year I decided to pickup the 175th Anniversary Penny Black Crown now rather than later since they had a 20% sale during July. I've been after it for sometime and almost pulled the trigger with Island Stamps and Coins for the 5oz version during their Black Friday sale.
Also received a 1/10 Cook Islands Bounty from Germany. Been after it for ages but I believe the 1/10th was only ever minted in 2009 and rarely comes up for sale. Carried an eye watering premium for a bullion coin but as a collector I couldn't let it slip me by.
