Went to my local registered numismatic coin dealer to get my 1989 sov and half sov graded and also ended up getting a 1953 Coronation Crown proof for 17 quid and a creased 1762 1/4 guinea EF condition for 155 quid. If uncreased, it would be  worth 400 quid and upwards. Still, lovely bit of history to have for the permanent collection. My French Lunar snake arrived, bringing me up to date with this series and leaving only 2017 to complete it.

Today I received three alternative design sovereigns 2002, 2005, 2012  from @sovereignsteve.  
 
 
I also ordered a couple  of alternative design 1/4oz Britannia  2001, 2007, 2010 from another source.

"The Odd Couple" perhaps .... But these are this week's purchases. 
1921 Morgan Dollar and a bullion 2005 Sovereign. Always been after that 2005, can't justify buying the proof, so the bullion version will go into the collection; nice to compare to the 2002.

1862 Shield from Atkinsons.  Not sure what's wrong with it as it was priced up cheaper than their usual shield sovereign price and worked out cheaper than HGMs Shield+postage price.
