    What @James32 and @Roy said.
Some people are like qualified drivers behind the learner- a little impatient and up their own backside but generally are good, knowledgeable people. Stick with it, ask, and the members and they will help.
    Keep stacking that PM.

I think you are referring to your wanted post and I would like to offer some suggestions.
The forum operates on a reputation basis. If someone with a good reputation offers advice, and they have been here a while, it's probably good advice.
i.e, state what you are willing to pay, it saves on email ping pong 😊
It's probably not a good idea to offer less than spot price for gold, especially on a fractional piece.
    Stick around and enjoy it.

I get your frustration and vividly remember being out of my depth when I first joined, there seemed to be the long standing member's in one corner and me winging aimlessly in the other🤣 this all changed when I joined in conversations etc, be respectful and be honest! ( really important) if you don't know something, whether it be pricing etc..ask and you will receive rapid help, don't offer silly prices on items if you're not sure..as you will loose the room very fast.Remember there's no such thing as a stupid question!
Honestly it's a great group of very helpful and extremely intelligent people on here ( present company excluded) nobody will let you get short changed whether buying or selling.
TLDR: join in, build up your trust/reputation which will be invaluable in a few months.
    Welcome aboard.

So today I decided I wanted to sell my stack of 30 oz silver coins / bars but then I decided after a chat with a few friendly people I decided to keep going with silver iv only been stacking for 1 month and I have 20 gram of gold and 30 oz of silver if you ask me that ain’t bad.

but what has really done my head in today is some people are very anal to beginners and in my opinion of you have experience in this then share it and if you see someone struggling or posting something wrong or not to the expectations of the forum then step in and help.

im passionate about this in the last month iv literally dedicated all my spare time to this and I want to become knowledgable as some of you lot and being rude don’t help

    That one's sterling.
Britannia silver has the seated Britannia mark, sterling has the lion passant mark.

I have a few of these ingots.
What I've noticed is that the 1977 dated ingots are Britannia silver and the other dates, i.e. 1976, 1979 etc. are sterling silver.
I guess it was deemed appropriate to use Britannia silver for the Jubilee year? Interesting, and something new to discover.

So, the first ingot is 958 and this one:

    is sterling 925? 👍
edit: I understand you now Steff, some of the 1977 ingots are sterling and others are britannia silver.
    Cheers 😎

On a serious note, only on silver jubilee year 1977 was used the silver jubilee optional mark.

Yes, because John Dee tried to make special the "argentum" jubilee and the 400th anniversary of his diary promise.

    Time for conspiracy theories, guys!

John Dee was astrological and scientific advisor of Queen Elizabeth I. His work and studies in alchemy and mystical/paranormal/spiritual/parapsychology and other dirty minds stuffs for that era are very well know, but the final result of this work is covered in fog and clouds. We don't know if he managed to learn how to reincarnate himself. Maybe he did it!
In 1577 he started a diary about these studies. He loved from all his heart his queen and promised her that he will do something remarkable for her memory in the years will come. The diary is not very clear, but he mentioned there about Britannia and about the purity of the chemical element named "argentum".
After exactly 400yrs, an ingot made from Britannia "argentum" is made to celebrate who? The second Queen Elizabeth and it is signed JD. This JD maker made only these ingots and disappeared probably for another 400yrs.
John Dee (in the flesh of one of his multiples reincarnations) did exactly what he promised!

Maker: John Doe, 😁 Unknown real name.
But your ingot pendant is mentioned in encyclopedia.😁

Flipping hell I am so grateful that I fixed for 10 years at 2% now!! I was lucky my 5 year ran out in 2021!!
I wanted to fix it at a lot less in 2020, but not sure the penalties would have been worth it??

I don't see the point in saving with a bank when the best interest rate they can give is still well below the rate of inflation.  As my good mate @GoldDiggerDave has often said, you would be better investing in tins of beans or tomato soup.
Real inflation is still more than 15%, not the fake sub 10% figure they like to put out on the 6 O'Clock news to appease the masses every month.
It might be worth having a read at this.
