Mexican fractional gold arrived today from coin invest - 2, 2.5 and 10 to go with the 50 Peso. Still looking for the 5 and 20 Peso. 50 peso is my favourite but the 2 peso comes a close second, really nice little coin.

The kraken have landed. New record; 3 days from Ca. USA.

that they are prepared to give refunds on every mistake. rule of thumb,

Well, the grand old lady turns 90 next month. No doubt, there will be gazillions of coins out to mark the event, so I went the other way and got these from the Queen's year of birth -1926.

1862 Shield from Atkinsons.  Not sure what's wrong with it as it was priced up cheaper than their usual shield sovereign price and worked out cheaper than HGMs Shield+postage price.

Enjoy your gold mate. It's the steady drip drip into the bucket that will accumulate your wealth. Also has the added attraction of being the same colour as honey. (As long as they are not townie bees that have been on the anti freeze)

Productive week.
Today I took delivery of various quantities of the following Bullion coins from STG:
2oz Nuie Turtles 1oz Perth Lunar monkey  1oz UK Year of the monkey  1.5oz Maples Leafs 1oz Red Tailed Eagles 1oz Libertads Also won a bid on eBay for a 2015 UK year of the sheep.
I have to say that the Libertads have quickly become my absolute favourites. They are absolutely beautiful, the design on the front is a classic (no need for annual revision), the detailing on the reverse is exquisite, and the sheen finishing is very distinctive. I love them!
 

 

2  1/10 gold maples and 1 of each of 2015,2014,2013,2012 lunar series 2 . 1/10 gold these are the first 1/10 coins i have received surprised how small they are . just stated to buy gold as iam struggling to store my silver.

The 1907 half eagle. Pretty happy with it - love the eagle design more than Liberty herself.  Looks better in the hand than the images when I bought it, but I reckon it's been polished or cleaned at some stage, although I am not a grading expert. What do you guys think? PS - my first ever Liberty head...

Got this today, i deviated from my usual Brits and glad i did, i really like this coin.
 
Might have to get a bit more adventorous with my 1OZ purchases.

I received 2 half shields from HGM a couple of days ago. One is a fairly worn 1885 young head with a nasty ding at the 1 o'clock on the obverse but otherwise ok, the second is also an 1885 young head but was clearly an ex mount with severe rim damage on both sides, to the point the bottom half of the date is missing. I have sent the second one back this morning, either for a swap or a refund, probably the latter given how rarely they get them in. Lesson learned here chaps - if you get the chance (doubtful) call to ask condition first, or you run the risk of paying a 15% premium for damaged coins and end up out of pocket paying for return postage. For me that is too high a price to risk when better condition coins can be found on Ebay for a similar price for example. Watching eBay like a hawk all day is also not required.  
Fair play to HGM for offering a refund though.
I will try to upload some pictures of the coins later, the computer has stopped recognising my phone for some reason.

Today i received an NGC graded coin, thanks to Numistacker. Some of you may have seen the video he has put on youtube. If not i suggest you do! Lots of other people there had some great results, with an amazing result for Numi.
I am really really happy with the grade this coin got (over the moon in fact). I purchased this coin raw for £65, the last time one of these sold was in 2012 in the USA for $1200+. Not a bad case for grading i feel. Only 10 in the world graded at this level.
I cant thank Numistacker enough for taking the time to help me in this.

I gave one of the 100 trillion notes to my brother last year as a bit of a joke gift for his birthday. I don't think he 'gets' it, I was hoping it would perhaps spark his interest in its history or get him asking questions but nope. Not yet anyway.

I got this banknote out of curiosity (£2 on ebay) and to remind myself that hyper inflation could lurk around the corner, if we don't pay attention.

These 1/10ths just turned up several days earlier than expected.  Paid €15 shipping and they sent it via DHL International Express which is next day rather than the 3-5 with domestic DHL.

My shield arrived too.

Upwardly mobile again today. I feel like I should buy something just to guarantee it drops sharply again like every other time.

My shield came to £213 delivered.
£256 (which is roughly Atkinsons prices) minus £43 nectar points
it also saved me hours waiting for one to pop up on the HGM website only to be beaten by someone with a faster trigger finger, lol

With the dip in gold I picked up a 1/10 oz today.

Just grabbed an old 10oz poured silver bar off ebay, was up for £189, put a cheeky best offer in of £150 an won it -
