If you need a certain price for your silver best just to put it up with an asking price and only revert to the auction if you get no takers.  It's just the nature of auctions especially when running one on a site where everyone knows the price of silver throughout the years and is looking for a bargain.  I must admit personally there has been a few items I would have liked but just thought i would wait until nearer the time and then completely forgot about it.

there is no way to place a maximum bid on this site you have to keep returning here to check your bid, people forget and /or away from their screen at the close. On eBay, you can place your max bid and forget about it.   just my 2p worth

Bought this from the Royal Mint, I swore off buying anything ever again from them due to quality control issues but since these come pre-graded from NGC I thought this cannot happen this time.  £400 for 2oz of silver I must be mad.

This arrived today. I thought I’d become jaded about the RM but then they put out something like this and knock it out of the park. Stunning set and great presentation.

Courtesy of the Silver Trader a 2024 1oz Gilded Dragon. However which mint (edit Downies) I am unsure (Niue coin). And below is 1oz NZ Mint 2024 Dragon which has flown in from New Zealand (I blame climate change). Also gilded.

I just got a phone call from Atkinsons Bullion and when the guy on the phone said who he was my first thought was why the hell is Atkinsons phoning me.  Turns out it's because I pre-ordered some Royal celebration KC111 silver coronation bars and they sold them as coming in a nice presentation blister pack and that's not what people are getting it's just going to be a plastic sleeve.  I said it was fine and that i would still take the bars rather than my money back but he's going to be busy if he's going to have to phone everyone that pre=ordered personally.  It's not like the Royal Mint to under deliver lol.

Packaging is correct, I don't know if anyone remembers but years ago someone on here pointed out that Nordfrim Stamps and Coins were selling off old hard to get Britannias cheap and this is how they came from them.  I filled a few gaps in my collection and this is how they came so I would say it's legit.

Got my bars through from Atkinsons this morning, looks like they come in a sheet that they just cut up with scissors.  I'm not that impressed I think you actually need the blister pack to make them look more substantial.

Thanks. last year about Black Friday time there was a well known jeweller, can't remember exactly which one it was that was selling the rose gold one for £250 and I hummed and hawed that long about if I could pull off wearing the rose gold instead of the ordinary gold they sold out.  Hoping something similar appears this year.

Sovereigns mainly for me although I will pick up 1/10th oz gold if the price is right and funds are tight and 1oz ers if I'm feeling flush.  I've also started a 1/4oz Tudor Beast run as the £400+ ish price range is bearable.
I stack to preserve my wealth but lately it's been more about hiding it.  If we are indeed heading towards a reset I want "stuff" outside the system and I also want to look poor so if there is any kind of means testing I qualify and any kind of haircut to savings I don't.
