Such a stunning coin... I'm going to keep requesting a replacement until I get a perfect one!
These are relatively minor imperfections, but I've paid too much not to expect better.

Both my replacements have a battle scar, must've been a vicious battle on the coin press.    

Just got my replacement 5oz back, it has a really obvious brown spot above his head.(some sort of oxidation?)
Is it worth sending back? Otherwise I'm happy with the coin.
Still waiting for my 20z gold from Brittannia Coin Company, no idea what they are doing.
Getting a decent coin seems such a drawn out and tiresome process these days.

So my 5oz replacement came. Fingers and toes crossed.
Looked good😁 Louped it and I’m very happy with it. The box lid doesn’t stay open though…..Photos are bad but take my word for it.
It’s got a lot of black belly button fluff but nothing you don’t expect.
Not being a conspiracy theorist, but the replacements are cleaner and better quality and @GoldDiggerDave has been AWOL. Just saying.

Finally got my gold - what disappointing quality. Edge fining (correct term?), blue grease on the edge, and Pistrucci's name is half missing!

Quick way to lose a few hundred quid there.
Easy pass unless you collect SOTD's and you will get it cheaper a few months down the line.

Well!  Whoever had their money on a D-Day SOTD sovereign were correct!  I've just received this from a dealer:
"On the 6th of June, the mint is releasing a Strike on the Day Sovereign to commemorate the 80th Anniversary...   Prices: £850 for boxed £950 for MS70"

I was expecting a higher price given the gold price rise recently.  Think they charged £850 last year for the birthday SotD - which BBP still have 5 left and  BCC are selling at a £55 discount. Looks like RM have decided the price has reached saturation point.

Depends how many are sold initially.  I am giving this one a miss.  If others do the same, maybe not many will be sold?  At £850, people are going to think very carefully before placing an order.

Sovereign for scale?

2017 1/50th ounce proof Krugerrand - PF70 UCAM
Thanks to @ZRPMs.  Purchased to both break my personal record for the smallest coin in my collection, and as a photography challenge.
I've used the microscope to take these pics, since as you can see, the coin is less than 10mm diameter.  I will try with the macro SLR rig some time this week, to see if I can a more arty picture.
Remarkable a coin this size can be created at all, let alone it achieve the highest grade.


 

A quarter eagle from @SVcollector for a set i am building. will probably be unslabbed in the future. 
 

Finally got my hands on this 1/2 ounce Pyx Gold Standard. I was expecting the coin to look a bit of a mess but I'm pleasantly surprised!

Finally managed to pick this one up from the post office today - they are a lot more choosy with leaving parcels on the doorstep than they used to be (which is probably just as well…). A cracking 20 oz Scottsdale kitkat bar, courtesy of @Tn21 - thank you 🙏
