Not all Kooks are equal - the earlier ones and low mintage proofs sell for a decent premium - as do Privy issues. My Favourites however are the high definition Kooks.

I would see this going for sub 500 on TSF. Perhaps 600 to 700 at auction - if you get the right buyer I have seen these sell for around 800 at auction but I think they were in slightly better condition from memory. It’s interesting to see the die failure on your example - the a in Regina. Looking at my notes, I have seen this on two other examples of the O over C error - but yours is more pronounced so probably as the die is at the end of its life.

There are not usually fireworks at the Asia opening. There will be a few traders a fair few quid lighter than Friday night!

Exactly. I think gaining access if a bank went bankrupt would be significantly hard. Hence bailing out. In the 80’s it was perfectly possible to put a box in the vault of most high street banks for free if you were a decent customer. Now, definitely not. How times have changed.

I worked in IB for 20 years. Cutting the bottom 10 to 15 percent of bottom performing employees is entirely normal. I have my suspicions around MB’s issues but hey ho.

Banks do this type of risk management all the time - moving assets from less secure banks to more secure banks. Just good housekeeping in my view. Plus Metro are not going to open at weekends.

Hi All I suspect some of us have an SD box with Metrobank. The Metrobank news over the last two weeks coupled with their share price performance has been a bit worrying. I was talking to a dealer in the US who was recently offered an amazing 2300 Morgan Dollars by a sole individual. Apparently collected from the Mid Sixties to the mid 2000’s and the passed on when the collector passed away. Whilst the stack was a mixed bag in terms of quality, that’s really quite an achievement just in terms of volume. Something for us to aim at!
