  1. Very nice. @motorbikez I hope you don’t mind me commenting on your trade post, but wanted to highlight: - @motorbikez is a great gent to do business with. I have bought really nice coins from him, and he has been kind enough to sell to me directly. All were super quality and condition. - These coins are *hard* to get hold of in the U.K. I did manage to get these amongst others but from Australia which was a pain. Best Dicker
  2. I try not to be a “whinger”, but this morning I received the RM’s January newsletter. I found it to be utterly tone deaf - is it just me or does anyone else think the same? (1) Big first article with a photo of their CEO. Why do we need a photo of the CEO? (2) An article on the company economics of gold written by a “Business Development Manager” (3) An article about RM’s net zero goals and achievements. Essentially corporate bollocks. (4) A puff piece about the CEO getting a CBE with another photo of her on the factory floor. Who cares? And lots of selling articles - things that are of zero interest to me. My feeling is that it was constructed by an internal comms team rather than a customer focussed comms team. Good luck Anne Jessopp CEO, CBE - let’s hope you have better luck than Paula Vennells!
  3. I went back to the Baird website in Dec and Jan and saw some waffle about their website being in “final testing”. Went back today and their website doesn’t resolve. Not even a connection error. I find it remarkable they are still in business.
  4. So I clicked the “Start Appeal” button. Guess what I got:
  5. I told eBay that the seller admitted it was counterfeit…..utter binlords.
  6. And despite the seller admitting that the bar was fake:
  7. He re-listed. I have told him I want to do a deal. 🙂
  8. This utter scumbag Binlord is happy to advertise the bar as genuine (essentially) but privately admits not genuine. Revolting
  9. Look at his other items listed. Mad money.
  10. He has a screw loose or is a money launderer. No two ways about it.
  11. Thanks. It’s only worth spot to me. Best of luck with the sale.
  12. Hi - are the marks on the capsule or the coin? Thanks
  13. Quite. Whilst I have not had a problem with RMSD - which for me has been faultless, I have had problems with other premium services - not PM related. Nasty and unethical chicanery by large organisations companies is not that frequent but my experience is to follow regulatory processes (if they exist for service that is at fault). Use ombudsman - with lots of evidence. You will win. If not, and depending on the size of the problem: - Threaten lawyers - If no response, use lawyers. Ideally get a letter delivered at 3.30pm on a Friday with a strong threat of legal action to ruin someone’s weekend. Making sure you target someone with financial skin in the game with a company you have a problem with. Post the Horizon scandal, people will be a little more “focussed” on behaving with integrity.
  14. The Safe Bit of me says: Brits from QEII era or Gillicks. Both are spot friendly and liquid. If I wanted to take a punt, one or two significantly rare Sovs - betting that they will be more desirable over a period of time.
  15. I’m afraid this won’t fly - ever.
  16. I often wonder how this sort of collection is put together……
  17. Interesting - I have seen one before but was too pricey for what I think it might be worth.
  18. He hasn’t replied to me so I have given him a nudge
  19. The collection doesn’t contain a Kew 50p but no harm asking!
  20. He has a large collection of “Change Checker” 50p’s for sale for £750. I am going to start asking him some questions…Will post replies if he “bites”
  21. This sort of scumbag (listing above), typifies the sort of BINlord that lives on the BINlord thread. Look at his other listings - loads of fantasy coins / counterfeits bought from China and sold between other genuine coins. Judging by his feedback, I recon he would be easily wound up by a few well aimed emails….
  22. Yes agreed. Not a completely obvious counterfeit and I fear that the buyer was probably older and not savvy to the scumbags on eBay.
