They refine via Umicore and then pour the bars themselves.

Lol it’s lighter than my other one which is solid. This new ones is made of hollow links to reduce weight but not size. The older one is 500gm or so

Interestingly, Some 2000-2007 sovs I have, when exposed to prolonged sunlight do become more "yellow". Will see if I can dig out a couple of the examples I have.

I second BYB - they make stamps that come out very clear.

I believe it has to do with too many refiners were melting sovereigns when gold was in high demand recently. We arent the only ones.

We would keep at same price as long as we aren’t making a loss. we would record them separately in our books

HMRC requires us to record bought prices and from whom and where they were sold and how much for. Most days we hedge, however if gold drops a fair bit, we may take that batch out of circulation and in long term storage. If we have to sell at a loss, we mark it against that batch.

Aye - I am quite aware of the person that has been doggedly pursuing this. Its not new. Only thing is the person we are discussing is different to the one you mean as far as I know. And this person is just drawing attention to the situation more than it deserves. However I think @Nick1368 was right to highlight it in the forum now that we have a recorded public admitting of wrong doing.
