Looks like it may drop into the $13's again? Down, down, deeper and down.

They were about GBP 120 each, that's towards the lower end of GBP/oz in my stack, so quite happy with the purchase.
That's a good rate for bars, where did you acquire those if you don't mind the question?

Welcome mate.

Yes it is.
I thought it was a Dalek.

The Fed rate decision is at 7pm tonight GMT.
My money is on a token 0.25% increase to save face. Anymore, even .5% would see zombie companies going bust! staying the same or announcing QE4 would see a rush for the exits. They are between a rock and a hard place and the fed has got no more Vaseline.

I'm watching with interest.
I have made myself a promise, when I can buy a monster box (500oz) for £5k plus delivery, I'm going to push the button.
May never happen, but getting closer - currently best price is £5835 for Noah's (£9.35 spot recorded for posterity).
I'm guesstimating that spot would need to be about £8.00 dead to hit the £5k target price.
So, let's wait & see what happens!!!
Like it Danny Boy. Although if it was me a would pay the extra few pence for the Brits. Never know where it will go and an outside chance of capital gains coming in to play.

Never even noticed that until now, looked at the total delivered price which was £75. Can't complain at that.the 1/10 angel coin that was for sale at under spot
priced ~£68?
HH
There was a 1/10 Kruger up also, did you notice how much that went for? I have a few already so passed on it.

i have been looking for one of those indian heads at the right price for ages also. Was going on holiday at the time Bairds stocked them so did not purchase. With hindsight I should have seen if they would delay posting. Ordered the liberty head from them when I got home as they were still available.
Ordered the 1/10 Isle of Man angel from HGM today.
-
I won't be getting that $10 coin after all. Just had a phone call from HGM and the coin is not suitable for selling. Been told I'll get first dibs if another comes in but that could be a very long way off and probably forgotten about by then.
Did they say what the damage was? Could have been extracted from a piece of jewellery.
Pity that, I wouldn't hold your breath for the next one to come along.
-
Nice one MZ. Fastest finger first as they say. Do you know the year or is it a surprise?
-
Okay own up, who got the $10 liberty head from HGM earlier today? Kman? Numistacker?
It's the first pre1933 USA coin I have seen them selling.
-
Good call hooky, would certainly fit date wise, but could this be a forgery of a forgery? :-)
Would not be paying the asking price in any case. Funny how platinum was worth forging with give its relative scarcity to gold.

As the title suggest, anyone heard of anything like this/ thoughts on this piece?

Bank transfer for my first purchase from STG went through : the delay gave me some nerves.
Coins with a spider on them.
Looking forward to delivery sometime.
I remember paying by bank transfer (which was to STG also) for the first time and feeling the same way, water off a ducks back now particularly as my account holds the recipients bank details for next time. Just be very careful when adding a new recipient for first time. I have heard that the bank has-no power to retrieve a payment made to a personal account in error.

1.5 oz Polar Bear & Cub since I already own the previous 2.
2015 Maple with Goat privy. I do like the reverse proof finish but this one is already milk spotting
1/10th 1988 Platinum Koala for the 1/10th collection although it isn't gold.
Where did you get the Koala from MZ? Wouldn't mind getting a fractional also.

I see on Goldline now the Lunar Horses and Lunar Sheep prices have flipped, the horses now have a hefty premium on them and the sheep have become the low premium option.
Both are still good buys I think!

When Goldline haven't got any in stock, they sell VF/EF 5$ Liberty heads for £187.50http://www.goldline.co.uk/bullionCoins.jsp?coinId=151&yp=9096
I bought one from Goldline last week. It was an 1893 which I think is one of the more common dates but looks in good nick to my eye. I had never seen the liberty in the flesh and thought it looked a bit ugly in photos. I am now glad I purchased as is a nice looking coin.
I put a post up around 3 weeks ago to say they had them in stock, also Indian Head at same price. Surprised no one snapped them up earlier although did not get the Indian, next on my list if the price is right.

I bought a few of the Lunar Horses from Bairds a few months ago, done the usual and gutted I'm down about £40 each on them now but that's just the game, for a new coin that's the first in a series that could turn out to be anything in the way of popularity especially with China and their gold scenario I think they are a great buy, the sealed packaging adds to security but does their beauty no favours as it fairly masks the coin.
I bought a lunar around February when gold was at its highest point since I have been stacking so down a fair bit on fiat but not too bothered. You may have already noticed, but there is a cling film type cover over the packing. It took me a while to see it but it is off now and I can see the coin much better.

Those HGM maples are looking tasty at £752 an ounce. The trouble is guys - notice the gold price on their website vs the actual gold price today. HGM must have frozen their tracker when they ceased business yesterday because the actual price is a few quid lower than £730 right now. Atkinson's is showing 727 an ounce. Goldprice.org is showing 726 an ounce.
I guess the adage of don't invest at weekend is as true with gold as it is with stocks lol.
Problem is if I wait until Monday they will probably all be gone!
For £1.26 more you could get yourself a year of the horse 1 ozer from Bairds! I know what I would prefer, comes security sealed also. I am starting to sound likes a salesperson I know, I don't work for them, honest.
-
It is a convoluted payment process however I do like dealing with Bairds. They have some very good deals going from time to time and are a quality English company.never used bairds as they want £7.50 del and ask for a deposit then a balance payment
I do not know any one who charges less than this for delivery, some companies charge more. I think it it the standard rate for special delivery with the royal mail(signed for)
Silver Monitoring Thread £ (GBP) only.

Is it just me and my sick mind or is silver looking a bit rude at the moment?
