I got the 1925 20 dinara Yugoslavia today as a present.   When I get 5 I’ll stick a pic on.

The Napoleon Bonaparte’s are lovely coins.  Technically no French coin issued before napoleon III was coined as part of the LMU but would have been circulated and used interchangeably with the LMU nations.  Some countries didn’t even join but issued LMU equivalent currencies.  I like them all.  It makes for a more varied collection 😃.

Delivery guys been 😃.  Gotta love a bit of dirt left on coins from circulation.  Here’s the 20 dinara, 20 lire nepoleon and 20 lire Papal States. 

I have ordered Napoleon Bonaparte 20 lire, 20 dinara 1925, the other more common 20 dinara, 20 francs Hungary, 20 francs Cérès and 20 franc Papal States.  Most should be delivered today apart form the 20 dinara 1925 as that’s a birthday present from the other half so I have to wait until nxt week for that one 😃.  

Nice little delivery off the postman today.  First of 7 new additions to my LMU collection.  Shame there’s a few marks on the reverse but still I’m still happy to have it.

I think 20 franc coins of the LMU would be a good change.

The 20 franga is a beautiful coin 😍 the skanderbeau is the nicest out of the two.

I can go an extra 100 quid but can’t find a nice other than the one on eBay that’s in America.  Worried about import tax on top.

Good point 😃..... I’ve got about 550-600 for a coin.  I want the franga but that’s out of my price range for now.  Or would you buy something else? 

I want to get a nice 20 franc but I’m stuck at what to get.  There is a 20 perpera in xf or a 20 zlotych in unc.  I’m swaying on the side of the zlotych....out of curiosity how much do you think I should b paying for them?

Mines an a also.  I got it on eBay. There was another one available from seller flocean.  He has a few different 20 francs for quite reasonable prices.  Delivery was quick too.

My first thought was it wasn’t a very prominent strike.  The price was reasonable though so I can’t complain.  I’m Just glad to have a type example 😃.  I’ve got a 20 Bolivares in the post office to pick up too.  I love coin delivery days haha

Yeah that’s the one.  Took me ages to find anything even about it.  It’s certinatly different.

I bet it was.  Unfortunately I haven’t got any 20 franc doublers.  I only have 1 full sov and that’s a graded vicky shield (I sold the rest as have lost interest).  I’ve got all the alternate design half proofs and lots of other half’s, vickies, iom and a Cyprus half that is unusual and low mintage.  I’ve got a 2008 graded 1/4 Brit, graded ducat 2017 anniversary, Indian head $10 and $5 and a half guinea? 

Yeah I do.  I haven’t got any spare 20 francs though anything else your after? 

Or id be happy to buy it? 

Just wondering what is next on everyone’s buy list? I’m on the look out for either a 20 bolivares or a Ceres 20 franc.  

The two tubes I bought were much cheaper than that and came from Norway.  Sounds like a good choice to not proceed.  I think you just have to keep your eyes open for good ones.  

Hi kookaburracollector 😃 Those are lovley.  I’m happy with my two and I’m not looking to get anymore at present.  They are a nice little addition to the 20 franc collection. I quite like the leather ones.  Difficult to get in good condition tho. I hope you win them.

20 lita from hgm arrived today.  It’s better than I was expecting.  Cleaned maybe but its only for a type set.

I bought it 😃.  Will let you kno how it turns out.  Worse case scenario it is in bad condition and it goes in the coin tube haha.

Not sure if you have noticed, but only two years ago, I could call one of several dealers and get them to select the years I wanted, cherry pick the best condition coins, and also send me a photo in advance...what a great way to buy..

Now...hardly any stock to choose from, and they have cottoned on to the fact that the different years have different values...Inthinkmthe honeymoon is over.

Regards to the vrenellis...I literally couldn’t decide for ages whether to collect those or the roosters...it was a close call..

I’ve noticed a decrease in availability of a lot of the 20 francs over the last few years.  For example the Ceres head.  It was available with a few dealers 3/4 years back but I haven’t seen one in any for a long time now.  I should have got one when they where available.
