  1. You could achieve this by using 57 envelopes, write 1 to 57 on them and when you have any spare cash or even change you can put it in the envelopes, so envelope 1: Put in £1 and seal it up, £2 in envelope 2, seal it up and so on, you won’t need to do them in order just put whatever you have in each envelope until it matches the number on the front and seal it up, so for example if you return from a night out at the weekend with say £26 left over, put in in envelope number 26 and seal it up. At the end of November 2024 open all 57 envelopes and you will have just over £1650 if my maths is correct. Thats 1oz gold without even noticing paying for it.
  2. Thanks, although I doubt I would be billed £300 on my pay as you go mobile 😁
  3. I hate PayPal, it used to be great, then something changed, they started acting like a bank without actually being a bank, so all hassle but little in the way of consumer protection that you get with a bank. When they started closing accounts and holding funds based on the personal politics of their customers I closed my account. I haven’t missed it.

    Which Sovs to sell

Just sell what you like the least and what is easiest to replace in future.
  5. Sold at £1683, god help the buyer, let’s hope eBay have at least put the funds on hold.
  6. I have thought the same, had issues with DHL in the past on imports from Japan ( not PM’s) no tax due as used goods but their handling charge ended up being more than the items value, so I had to kind of double the price of the item in my head first in case they pulled it, that way it was a bonus when it got through.
  7. I use these (they come with a calibration weight) very accurate for the money https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334912564792?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6kWkLR-yRea&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. M2 money supply rapidly declining.

All aboard the Half Sovereign tombola express 😂 (just kidding GLWS)
  10. Instead of a blue tick we could have this
  11. Gold was £1498 before Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, I wonder if we will get back to that by next week.
  12. July 2022, Atkinsons had brand new 1oz Brits for £1512 (delivered), I waited because I was aiming for £1499, that day never came, now I regret it. Don’t be me. 😑
  13. I don’t know about Gold price movements but you are spot on about what might go down in London this weekend, unfortunately innocent people and businesses will be affected. We are certainly going to see terrible scenes.
  14. I have always made sure to tip my postman handsomely at Christmas for years, he now goes out of his way to deliver my mail, he even takes it to my parents house if there’s nobody home. (I’m dreading the day he retires) 😂
  15. Not sure what to think about this, these documents have been around for a while, Neil McCoy Ward did a video about it. I can’t remember the figures but something like 60% of the population have 0 savings and then only around 25% have more than £1000, I think if you have more than £5000 in savings it puts you in or around the top 10%. If these figures are accurate what % of people have more than £85,000 in savings? If bail ins happened, it’s going to be slim pickings if most people’s wealth is tied up in property. the whole FCSC thing is nonsense anyway, as if there’s billions of pounds sitting somewhere waiting to be paid out! I think bail ins could and will happen but I think it would mean temporary disruption to your bank account, no withdrawals or reduced withdrawals and then the BOE with just add a few zero’s onto the money supply (digitally print more money) Which is concerning as its yet more inflation/devaluation of the currency.
  16. My payments usually went in ok, but every so often they would randomly hold my payouts until the item was delivered despite having 100% positive feedback going back years. This tended to happen if I hadn’t listed items for sale for a while. One time they sent me an offer with discounts on selling fees for a set time, so I accepted the offer and listed a number of items to take advantage of the offer, they then immediately held my payouts! I ended up posting everything signed for, just to make sure and it became too expensive and not worth the risk/hassle.
  17. I had an invite a couple of days ago, I ignored it, I no longer sell there, the fees, the holding of payments and my lack of faith means I now only use it for buying cheap bits and bobs for work or fishing, I very rarely spend more than £30 in any transaction.
  18. I hate how ebay allow this to happen, he is relisting fake coins even after scamming people!
