The counterparty wallet you are interacting with, could unbeknown to you, be under scrutiny for any number of crypto scams or protocol exploits which brings your own wallet address into question. We have seen funds stopped at exchanges unable to off ramp to FIAT. People using mixers for example. I would suggest anyone looking to do this be looking at fresh wallets only and through a 3rd party proficient in using etherscan or other chain explorers.
