Today I received ...
Three lovely Gillicks. Nom nom nom
Woo hoo on Sunday I did my first purchase here on The SilverForum and a very good experience it was too. And Monday this week @brnlx639 sent to me not one, not two, but three lovely Gillicks dated '66,'67,'68. And very nice they are too, all glittery and golden and in the exact condition described. 
Here are some pix, albeit iPhone specials. I didn't have time to get arty and get my proper camera out. But the pix do show off the lovely sovereigns and their lovely golden glow.

Few little items arrived today. A gold 1/4 party goat to go with his lion mate, a lovely 10oz bar from @theman73, a very nice sov from @brnlx639, and a few treats from @GrahamDiamond from the Xmas gift exchange. Got me right in the festive spirit! 

I have literally, just completed a full Gillick set (10), having bought all of them from TSF members in the last 14 days. Six in hand, and four to be posted after the RM strike is over. Cost? Under £3800…Quality..make your own judgement.

Another visit to the stack today, to play musical coins - Platinum 1/10th Brit came out as it's sold and 3 and a half Sovs go in..
A 2022 loose Full sovereign, and two Gillicks (1963 & 64) taking my Gillick set up to half way complete - thanks to @brnlx639 for the Gillicks.
And a 2022 half sovereign in blister pack...

Which means I now only need a Double 2022 sovereign in a blister pack for the four coin set... And they're out of stock at the Royal Mint... Typical! 🙄

The three coins do look good together though 😁

Pick up today from the jewellers in town,
Sold to them by the family of a chap who had passed away, found in a box in his attic along with some other 1966 stuff, mostly world cup related.  Probably some of the best condition Gillicks I have ever picked up.  

Purchases from the weekend that arrived today
6 carded half sovereigns, 4 of which were from @shawy2510 and then 3 boxed half sovereigns including a 2014 (mintage of 9.9k all BU)

Completed the other half of the sovereign heads collection.  Also from @brnlx639, a 'small head' to complete my Victoria to George portraits.  (Yes, I know there are George VI sovereigns, but I don't have that kind of  money.)



And from @James32, a Dog & Roo combo.

Thanks to @brnlx639, and several others before, I completed my set of QEII sovereign heads.
[I find photographing sovereigns particularly challenging, especially the newer shinier ones.]


And from @Tn21 came these, my first Gold Standards.

Other than a few RM sovereigns earlier this year, I’m completely new to precious metals. @BackyardBullionsignposted TSF on his YouTube vids and that’s how I found my way here and I’m so pleased I did.
Having set myself what I thought was quite an aggressive target for year 1, I’ve clearly gone head first into things and done almost 6 months worth of buying inside the first 5 weeks! I’ve found it thoroughly intoxicating and extremely enjoyable to be a part of.
Members of TSF have been great to work with and learn from. Some early guidance from @James32was super helpful and am very grateful. Then there’s all the deals done so far, having bought gold/silver coins and hand poured silver from @Auronum@StBeesSilver@BackyardBullion@kneehow2018@SilverAngel@Orpster@brnlx639@LiquidMetalsUK@silverseller@Nick1368@SilverTalent@Bullionstacker1993@Tangomachine@James32@modofantasma@FFposh@Chrispringle85@paulmoore who have all been welcoming and accommodating, making each of the sales dead easy.
I took a silver membership inside 24 hours as was keen to buy close to spot and figured the best deals wouldn’t make the 3 day timeframe (in fact some barely make 3 minutes) and it’s been well worth the small monthly fee so would highly recommend.
Consider myself extremely lucky to be in a position where I can afford to spend money on stacking and just as lucky to have found this place also. Actually went from focusing equally on silver and gold to focusing almost entirely on gold now and maybe a few bits of silver that I particularly like or something at really good value etc.
Have rambled on for long enough but just wanted to encourage newcomers to get to know contributors on the forum, encourage them also to take out a membership as it’ll help keep the place running and to say thanks to those I’ve interacted with thus far.
I hope to be able to enjoy being a part of this place over the coming years, and privileged enough to continue to build a stack that if I ever need to fall back on I may and if not, something my daughters can one day enjoy. Thanks all
