depends on when they mint them but RM have said the 50p will be circulated. no dates announced yet or about the annual set and if it will be QE2 or C3. EDIT - BBC 6pm news headline said this year for the 50p. when they turn up in banks etc that might be different, but given the hype to promote all the in memorium and all the other ***** they will try to shift, sorry, carefully crafted and quality checked coins, they will prob send limited numbers out before the end of the year.

they did release the jubilee 50p, though still not got one in my change, the pride and i think the turing 50ps are also due to be circulating. I think i have found 3 or 4 10ps. and of course one of them was a duplicate that i had bought carded on a visit to the RM 🤬

thats the place christopher collects works at - the mainly non pm circulated coin collector on you tube. ( although he does buy pm proofs of circ coins and sometimes some silver coins ) Never bought from them as always thought they were a bit over priced the few times i looked, but as with anything they can always have deals which make them cheap. as long as you buy with a card you will be protected.

its quite simple. banks are getting shouted at and screwed by regulators, the press, mps etc etc at dear old grannie who got talked into giving that nice man in nigeria £20k for her £10M lottery win, money laundering etc. what we are seeing now is the result. banks being more careful about transactions all over the place, especially now they are being told they should repay ANY accusation of fraud. There are ways out for the banks at the moment, whether they will get closed down who knows. so to protect the people who have been, are and will be scammed, the rest of us have to put up with this - double verification, questions asked in branches when you take cash oput, acct nbr and name matching. want to move to bitcoin? fine, try moving it in then out to/from cash. you will get hit at one point or both for the same reason. ( could happily fill this response with pages but, decided on the short version )

thailand, cambodia etc dont buy coins or bars except if they are rich - by our standards. normal folk will buy gold chains, rings, earings etc.
