  1. I have a wight discrepancy issue too with the Perth Mint. I have one Perth Mint 1992 (1 oz KOOKABURRA) silver coin with an odd weight of 32.2 grams! I emailed the Perth Mint questioning this odd weight for one ounce of silver, and they told me that it's possible since they did not have precise equipment back in 1992!🙄
  2. I want to buy the Perth Mint Swan 2024 as the design is very nice this year, but they are expensive at this moment, will wait for the price to cool a little bit.
  3. Guapstar11 I think your best option to break the set and sell it on this forum from time to time, I'm sure you would find some buyers, and I'm the first one if you decided to do so. I'm willing to order some, please message me if you are interested.
  4. I have to disagree with you.....I would classify silver into 2 categories, Bullion and Numismatic. Bullion: Better protection against inflation and against governments. Look what happened in South America when some countries went bankrupts, and look at some countries in the Middle East and Africa, all their local currencies have devalued multiple times. However, the people who kept their wealth in Precious Metals (Gold/Silver) were not effected by this, and I have many friends from some of those countries who appreciated the precious metals and how it saved their wealth when everyone else was crying. Numismatic: Certain coins will bring much more value beyond their intrinsic value, I can bring many examples from many mints which those Numismatic silver coins/rounds/bars are selling for unprecedented amount on eBay. So for me, Silver💝 is a key investment.
  5. SilverAlloy if you are new to stacking, I would stick to government issued coins (U.S. ASE, UK Britannia, and Canada Maple Leaf). Those would give you much better resell value later in life....
  6. Thank you very much Arian2020 ! Appreciate all the efforts and time to resolve this mystery 😀. So here what I understand from all the measurements you posted above: Outside edge thickness: 2017: 25 coins x 3.07mm each = 76.75mm 2024: 25 coins x 2.91mm each = 72.75mm Difference is: 4mm (which is about an additional 1.3 coin). That makes since now that the 2017 stack is taller than the 2024 stack! We only need to confirm with anyone else who has 2017 Britannia if their edge thickness is 3.07mm too.
  7. If you use PayPal to receive payment, they will suspend your account since they are a U.S. company. They crucified me once for attempting to buy some Cuban coins from Europe (just because the coins are Cuban coins). Check this thread:
  8. 🤔What Niue has to do with the Persian Gulf countries!!! They do not share anything in common! Not the language, not the culture, and not the religion!!! Not to mention that they are thousands of miles apart!!!!
  9. Hi @Arian2020. Any update on this topic? 😀
  10. 😑Sad how human create false useless gods.....couldn't they name this bar something else!!!!
  11. Source#1: Essay by Deborah Schorsch (Department of Objects Conservation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art): "Silver was used to fashion beads as early as the Predynastic Period (ca. 4400–3100 B.C.) and remained important for personal ornaments and cult objects in Egypt through Roman times. Temple inscriptions suggest that for much of Egypt’s history, silver was valued more highly than gold." Link: https://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/silv/hd_silv.htm Source#2: Journal Article by (N. H. 12. I do not recommend removing the tarnishing in any way! Toned/tarnished coins have premium now in North America. So keep them as is, and sell them as is even with toning.
  13. To be honest, although I'm Canadian but I think First Majestic made a mistake by forming this new mint. The market if over saturated with mints. And there is nothing special about those silver bars on their website! Nor the prices are attractive........ They need to be more creative by creating something new and unique, for example they need to look at how Scottsdale Mint makes their products (which in my opinion is number one private mint out there when it comes to creativity).
  14. This is very interesting indeed.......💫 I would suspect the rims design but to know for sure why don't you get a digital caliper from Amazon and measure the rim and the diameter to see what it the difference between year 2017 and 2024! Also please have those coins on a glass surface or direct on the wood table (without that green fabric) and see if you still have that difference in height!
  15. It seems the Perth Mint 2024 Swan silver bullion coin would be nice looking one this year! But let us wait for the non-colored coin to show up before the final call.....
  16. This is a wow coin 😍. I have one too, and one day I would get it graded by PCGS or NGC. Thanks for sharing this photo.
  17. That is really bad!!!! Print this photo and mail it in snailmail complaint letter to "Anne Jessopp" (The Royal Mint President), maybe she would fire the whole team who designed those capsules!
  18. I'm from Canada and I got the Royal Mint email this morning at 4:23AM ET.
  19. why they need to have this thing? To stop the coin from rotating? They can do the same by mimicking PCGS and NGC holders!
  20. Glad I bought one set this morning 😀. It's unavailable now:
  21. I like the design, so I ordered the Two-Coin Silver Proof Set to Canada. Thanks paulmerton for the promo code.
