Not sure who told you that but 9ct sovereign 'like' coins in jewellery are reasonably common. I suspect they have purposely picked a year that sovereigns were not made in that mint and suspect if you took it from the pendant it will be hallmarked. The obverse is a standout, I will be generous and call it a 'replica'

What is the pendant advertised as? Jewellers copies of coins in jewellery are not that rare. Does the advert state the CT of the coin or anything like that?

Its a makers mark, looks to be a middle eastern forgery of a sovereign, look at the rim which is way too thick for the genuine article, the lettering is off too by the looks These are usually about 21ct

That's a nice sight @modofantasma and a great price, as I have said on someone else's post this morning you may be as well trading them in, With dealers like @Auronum offering spot or better and the prices things are going for on here, if you could hand them over in person and save the post you may actually do better -
As I thought mate you can likely get more from a dealer: https://auronum.co.uk/sell-online/sell-five-sovereign/ with spot where is it unless you are selling something premium I don't think its worth faffing about with private sales

Couple of Gillicks to go, the two best years and very decent examples 1957 - The first mass produced coin for QEII and a unique design with 168 grains to the milled edge and not the usual 108 grains SOLD 1959 - The lowest mintage of the bullion Gillick sovereigns and the only other year, along with the 1957, not rated common BT or PPF&F, UK Mainland or NI only. Despatch from Monday at buyers convenience.
