  1. I have halitosis so baited seems right
  2. The other 2012 has now sold pending payment
  3. I am looking to liquidate some duplicates and thought I would start with these beauties, and try then on here first 1872 was the first year of the Melbourne Mint and only 748k sovereigns were produced, split between the shields and the George and dragons - rated rare in Marsh and any other coin book you care to name. Only 1883 has a lower mintage for the Melbourne Young Victoria sovereigns. Third young filleted head left, W.W. raised on truncation for engraver William Wyon, date below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, laurel wreath surrounding, die letter M below, emblems below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: weight 7.99g (Bentley 744; McDonald 120; Marsh 59; S.3854) Really not an easy coin to source, and while these are bullion examples they are still very sought after by collectors. In the picture of them together top left is No1, top right No2, bottom left No3 and bottom right No4. Please feel free to request more pictures. Looking for £455 each, plus postage **No2 & No4 Sold** BT or PPF&F, uk mainland or NI only
  4. 2012 has sold, but if someone wanted the bundle deal there is another available
  5. No love for these? They are very competitively priced, cheaper than any that have sold recently by a margin, and the 1/4's are getting more popular which is a trend likely to continue
  6. Bump on the 2012, I know this may seem more expensive than the others but these are recent auction results The auction on the 28th December was a premium auction as well so had 18%+VAT fees, making the £420 mean a payable total of £510.72 (plus the £15 delivery Coin Cabinet charge ) and the £490 a whopping £595.84. The £480 was a 6% commission auction giving a payable price of £514.56 https://auctions.thecoincabinet.com/lots/view/4-C56D53/united-kingdom-elizabeth-ii-2012-gold-half-sovereign-diamond-jubilee-proof-ngc-pf-70-ultra-cameo https://auctions.thecoincabinet.com/lots/view/4-C56D55/united-kingdom-elizabeth-ii-2012-gold-half-sovereign-diamond-jubilee-proof-ngc-pf-70-ultra-cameo My point being, this is cheap cheap
  7. I am bored and I thought I would start something fun for members and see if we get any banter going The below picture is of a pile of lovely lovely young head sovereigns, but how many are there? Mystery prize (no it is not a sovereign, or gold, in fact to be honest I have not decided what it is yet but it will be pm related), to anyone who gets the answer correct, with free postage to boot No prize for the nearest guess apart from the admiration of your peers. In the event two people get the answer correct the first to give the right number will be the winner. One guess only per member. This will run till 10pm tomorrow (Friday 01/03/2024). No clues and I will not be telling people if they are correct or not. Good luck
  8. Buy another and it lowers your cost average

  11. Deleted in shame so no one ever knows what I posted in deals
  12. Seems like a decent deal from HGM: https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/australia-gold-sovereign I think these are all proof (could be wrong) HGM have the condition as 'better than bullion'
  13. Graded coins will usually cost a bit more once you get past AU53, but lower grades don't always. A common year bullion shield raw (ungraded) you can pick up about £425, so around a £30 premium over a George and Dragon Scarce, rare and variants will be more unless you get lucky, as will any in really nice condition. So as an example were I selling the below the 1872 would be £425 but the 1881S would be £525 (ish) The 1872 is common and in very bullion condition, the 1881S is a rare and in lovely condition, I am hoping it will be an MS grade. And I would put money on that if I sold them the 1881S would go first, and likely very quickly. The 1881S is currently with @GoldDiggerDave for conservation and grading
  14. Yea 1881S is the one I think is under graded, and the 1878S is the one I think is over graded Its plastic strands from the capsule on the 1884S, typical NGC quality control
  15. The 1872 I already cashed out so I no longer own, it went to one of the guys that runs Cameo Coins The others I would have to research, but guesstimate would be £480-£650 depending on the year and grade
  16. Bonus points for getting the right coins, just the wrong way around 👍
  17. And we have a winner, I think you are now promoted from rookie to journeyman at least 🥰
  18. There is a bit of a curve ball in there (on purpose). I think one of the AU58's is under graded and should be an MS61 at least. I also think one of the 58's is over graded so comme si comme sa I guess
  19. Sorry but neither of these is correct (and there are two 1884, both a Melbourne and a Sydney) Very brave to go first though 🙏
  20. As an interesting experiment I am going to put 5 graded coins below. Three are AU58, one is an MS61 and one an MS64. I would like people to try and pick out the MS grade coins, and say which one is which Good luck 🍀
  21. I am getting FOMO now, too many more people posting these up and I will have to break my no more RM bullion silver rule
