Today I received the news that I had just become a Great Uncle.  In anticipation of this I bought a 2023 half sovereign to give to my Great Niece.  When I was born in the late 1950s I was given a £1 Premium Bond - it has never won anything!  So I now give my nephews a sovereign on getting married (first marriage only!) and I intend to give my Great Nephews and Nieces a half sovereign when they are born.  I can't afford a full sovereign as potentially there could be up to three or four births a year!  So, I've put a 2023 bullion half sovereign in one of the RM's fancy boxes.  I will include a note saying it is bullion (rather than proof) - I don't want them to think I am a binlord!

2021 Perth Mint Dragon
From Silvertrader.

I received the supposedly “Mint Marque only” silver set today (available to all and sundry -> yours truly!), and used it to assemble my own little unique set of the regular and reverse Proof coronation silver coins.
The other coin I had purchased from the secondary market some weeks back.

Silver purchases for this week. Just over 60 ounces. Keep stacking! 
 
 

Another 3 coins back from grading at PCGS;  2 x Queen's Beasts  and 1 x King Charles III coronation.
I'm really pleased with the results.  I'm in love! 😍

Probably. The 1911 is the most common as you can see, and usually found in good condition. Total mintage of the Canadian Sovereign 1908-21 is 627,834 which is less than 1/2 of that of the Bombay mint in the single year 1918!

Technically received these Sunday. I visited an antiques fair in Stafford. Loads and loads of coin stalls, so I had to practice some self control, and managed to limit myself to some personal picks. Love the Tolkien coin even for the base metal version, and these silver six and three pence coins appealed to the silver bug in me, and I'll enjoy investigating them a bit more (especially the Aussie Sixpence).

I tried something a little a different, taking a panorama of multiple shots, and stitched them together.  The resulting image was 227 megapixels.  I'm sure @ChrisSilver is glad that I only uploaded a small version.  🤣
