Bullion wise the 22 C stuff is something you can handle though. Whereas the 24 C is much more in the capsule/blister pack. obviously depending on your views about touching your loot

Does China have enough gold to back its currency , even partially. Also would it want an appreciating currency now, it would be deflationary.. if they are headed down this route they won’t pull the trigger untill they are ready to deal with a much stronger currency. Then their current buying spree of assets abroad will look puny in comparison.. they will need to be ready to assume reserve currency status

Raise N.I. For a heating poverty NHS fund .. claim the ‘government’ is helping you by pissing your money away. -

I did the same thing around then . Double Miras had been binned and it took 10? years for property prices to get back to the same levels (not index linked!) mine was also 2 years not a thing in it other than part of a cak MFI kitchen. and the for sale sign was wedged across the patio doors as the lock.. happy days.. pretty sure the windows and doors where the kind of cheap wood they made Abla stereo boxes out of.

there is a once in a multi generational passing down of wealth coming from now till 2050? as all the property owning /inflation/printed money/QE 'winners' start pegging it. most of it will be spent on electric sports cars natch!

trouble is people buy when its going up. not down. ,, its easy to say ill buy at 1250 sterling.. but when its down there it feels like a sell.

food is cheaper than its ever been .. if you can afford a Deliveroo pizza then you can afford to hit Aldis and buy loads of food for feck all. if you won't eat tinned sardines 40p then you aint hungry .. now I get thats not ideal, but as mentioned further up , its hard to have sympathy for someone with an iPhone and 200 pound trainers on at a food bank .. -
shotgun every time... maintenance is doable and ammo is cheap and stackable.. but mainly because most people can't shoot for terrible so you want a big spread.
