Stunning set of coins recceived today. Shame about the quality. 😭 Missing frosting around Rims and dings on the QA, missing frosting and black bits on rim of Portrait but portrait herself looks stunning though. Still looks stunning as a set. In 2 minds to keep or try for exchange.

😁I did haggle and felt content with the price in the end but abit over budget but there was a nice lady and the gentleman that was selling the coins was a collector since he was a young boy so I felt rude to walk away with nothing after they let me fondle with their coins. Walked away with some per 1947 half crowns at £4 a pop (Asking £5, how did I do?). They had a nice proof 1935 crown but didn't purchase. Pictures attached. Really interesting day. Abit overwhelming I must say with all the history. Also there was some interesting pieces like the 1887 crown and the 1891 coin, they were converted to badges or something. It had a brooch pin melted on the back of the coins to make it a badge? I assume people would wear these on their uniforms back in the day? Wasn't interested in anything but the coins so didn't ask to look, lol. Will do next time though if still there. Found a really nice US coin set too. Never thought I be visiting antique shops to be honest but its been really enjoyable on this sunny day. 🤣

Thanks for feedback, will go for another look. Some further close up, any of the other coins and their prices are fair or high?

Morning, Notice some old silver coins in my local antique shop. Wondering if these are good prices? Seems high to me though, the crown 1937 looks in good nick but charging £30 each. What you think? Thanks

So you wanted justification not to buy? lol, thats cool with me as also wanted justification to not purchase hahaha. Also the coin sold last month for portrait 2oz was best offer maybe? Doesnt say it has a buyer, also no coa and no box and no feedback for that listing. I think good justification for me to not purchase with all things considered 🤣. Your welcome 😁 -

wow, great price, although no box or coa. Nearly bought however decided against it. Feedback on recent transaction put me off still -
Probably because too many returns requested, website cant handle the traffic so you need to queue for requesting returns now, 🤣.

No case was delivered, for 1oz silver proof version anyways. Had continuous order since 1st coin. Looks like will have to call RM which adds to the customer service work load. They don't help themselves do they? -

Anyone else more worried about having a good quality set by the end of the series and hassle of returning etc during collecting than if the coins make profit or not in the end? Its put a damper on things with the Quality and it seems that I am sending coins back more often than not at the moment. Maybe I need or is anyone doubling up the purchases and expect a post office trip on every release? (So keep the good one, if you get one and send back the bad ones.) Thanks -

Looks like the rollercoaster is about to start again, RM just started to take payment for THE ROYAL TUDOR BEASTS THE LION OF ENGLAND 2022 UK 1/4OZ GOLD PROOF. Mintage says 1000 again 😄 -
Morning, So this trial of the pyx, is a tradition I believe dating back years from what I read. So are we paying more for the privledge that privledged members are sitting in a room one day and looking and feeling over the coins before resale and is that it? What about the quality? Does it matter what quality the coin are at the end of the day after they looked and feel the coins? Looking at the pictures it doesn't seem like they care for the quality? See attached pics. Struggling to see why anyone would want to pay for some strangers to fondle with the coins before purchase? Apoligies in advance if I am missing something like if the queen is touching the coin before selling to public or if I have offended someone sitting on the trial of the pyx table. Just trying to understand why would one purchase at these high prices?

Im sorry to make a light joke at your expense and I really do feel for anyone that couldn't get coins at rrp and had to pay over. But I feel thats the reason why flippers flip, same reason why strippers strip. (Even the worse strippers get paid alot) Haven't been to a gentlemans club for a long time..... 😭 -
