I was one of those jumping on board during lockdown but don't plan on selling any of the stack. Possible lows aren't a disappointment if you can buy a sov or two more...
I do agree that the cost of living aka surviving will still be biting hard, if you do have some dry powder these are the times when deals can be had.
Currently £1,589.

CaptCaveMan reacted to Hangryjock in Newbie with first purchase (I had to tell someone)
Good afternoon all, firstly thank you for this forum, i've been enjoying my last few days reading through threads and learning from you all. Looking forward to learning more in time.
I'm excited as my first purchase came today, I started with a 1g bar purely for low entry point and I just couldn't wait to get something to start my journey. Plus I like them.
I just had to tell someone and I know that you guys will understand my excitement.
Looking to add each month, likely start with half sovereign's.
Have a good day!

Those lows won’t be a disappointment to those buying at those times. Think cost of living will bite harder and the people that got into it during lockdown will sell up some.

IMO whilst by the year end we may see close to around the £1800 mark, there is considerable potential for pain before getting there, with a possible low as disappointing as £1530-1540 en route;
Accordingly I'm playing 2024 same as 2023 and keeping some dry powder for those lows again this year on that basis.

Merry Christmas everyone 🎄
a festive treat at this time of year, my children love em. Not as much as the odd sovereign they have received as special treats. If only Fort Knox was actually audited 🤣

Got one of my bucket list coins this week, arrived this morning
1996 Double Sovereign, just 22 of these in PF70UC, the lowest mintage of the Maklouf doubles and the final year (no doubles in 97)
Also picked up a couple of proof baby brits that arrived today, was only really after the 2003 but took them both as they were reasonably priced
Quite pleased with the condition
