  1. Wouldn't that mean the UK will have to remain competitive within Europe and possibly increase QE/lower rates.

Mark Carney mentioned lower rates and more QE the other week, I personally do believe we'll see that at some point, but I feel the US will start before us, the strong dollar's killing their export market.

I agree with Pete that the pound will get stronger in the short term.

  2. I am actually very much liking the two odd sized RCM coins Wolfe and Bison - nice sizes, good thickness to the 1.25 Ounce too! Will post pictures when I can. Does anyone know where I can get capsules for these?

I believe they're the same diameter as a maple, so would a standard 38mm capsule fit?

  3. I personally prefer using dollars as silver's price in dollars, if you're using pounds you're looking at it through another market which isn't really a true reflection of the silver price, but obviously if we're buying we look at pounds.

So anyway silver hit a new low of $16.79 this morning, the bottom?

  4. :o  I think i would feel the same if they had sent me that to, it looks like sh*t, the one I ordered came today to but mine came in a screw casual like kman's and looks alright, sorry to hear you got shafted with that one, it should have gone in with the best value pile...

I didn't even get a capsule with this just a plastic flip, I don't mind them selling this coin but they should at least make it clear what we're buying, the 2002 sovereign comes at a premium as it is, how is anyone going to sell it on for anything more than it's gold value.

rule one, never take your customers for granted, it's a shame because I think most of us consider atkinson's as one of our most trusted dealers.

  5. Like the Goat but 1/10 oz is just too small for me.

i bought a 1/10 oz Gold ASE in Florida and I have bought no more. Enough said. :)

I tend to agree with you Keith, but the 1/10 perth mint gold coins are a lot better, you should get yourself one I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, so much better than the 1/10 gold eagles.

  6. Kman, I agree with the others here, that sovereign looks like a cast and not struck with dies, the wear on it doesn't look natural more of a moulded look, as HT says it may be made with 22k I know some collectables are and that may be how it slipped through the net.

Pleased to hear you got your money back mate, even if they do say it's legit I wouldn't except it, judging by the responses here it may be hard to pass on.

  7. So what are the sheep like!!!

I remember looking at the Perth mint Goat and thinking they are not very good, BUT when I received them 1/2 oz through to 10 oz wow they are brilliant.

Do the Sheep have the same impact!!!!

I understand why people aren't to keep on the sheep's design but I really like them, and yes they're so much better in hand though I do wish they had left the trees in, the picture of the proof that MZ posted looks great.
