  1. Probably will appreciate in the end. I'd speculate if it is this hard to obtain a perfect example, the rarity of that would help a PF70 when the market settles. If i could, i would shoot for a gold 2oz.
  2. Secondary market is where it's at for a collector a lot of the time. Sure a few offerings are cheaper on release from the mint direct, but you don't get to see the exact coin before purchase. Wish i had scooped one of these on the day, but hopefully i can pick one up in time that's met the grade.
  3. This is what the Edinburgh Assay office price list states for hallmarking second hand/public items. https://www.edinburghassayoffice.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2681-Assay-Price-list-2024-v1.pdf
  4. We don't need your kind of optimism here, thank you. Whatever this is, i miss it and like it. Come back @wonger you were fun.
  5. Heading to £400 now by the look of it.
  6. All sold now! Thanks for all the kind help from everyone
  7. They have put me off buying silver coins with all the issues they present. The last few added so much stress to the purchase, returning for a coin that isn't subpar, waiting for deliveries adding extra cost to the process. To have the silver milk spot before arrival, or to see it change whilst in your possession is disheartening. Milk spot problems which seems to be a modern issue, the mint seemingly won't take responsibility for. This is a new problem that they have created, the silver .999 2013 Britannias have not suffered the same fate as the latest 2024 coins. Sticking to the gold releases, if i can afford. Otherwise i am buying on the secondary market, or after some QC is done via some bloke called Dave.
  8. 100 coins are now sold, bulk buy deal is updated accordingly with what is left
  9. The 100 coins above are now sold and pending payment. 😎
  10. Pending sale for 60-80 coins from these photos. Thought i would add some pictures of what's to be expected of a tubes contents close up, happy to take pictures like this for anyone interested.
  11. SOLD Tubes of 20 x 2013 Silver Britannia's - £475 inc Special Delivery postage. Bulk buy deal: 20 = £475, 40 = £945, 60 = £1410, 80 = £1875, 100 = £2335, 160 = £3725. 200 = £4660, 260 = £6,000 Please inspect pictures, coins have some tarnish from age. Vintage Britannia's at this age, the 2013's are rare to see for sale. With a mirror like field they are stunning to look at. Very different from the current design, and being ten years old some coins have tarnishing. One for the collectors of Britannia's Can take more pictures for anyone that would like to see, just have not took these coins out of the tubes. Any purchase over £2.5k in value will be sent in multiple parcels.
  12. @GoldDiggerDave one for your polishing wheel?
  13. They are looking for "bullion" coins and "good priced ones". Where in london can you buy with a lower premium? If i was the OP i would be frustrated walking into anywhere that makes me pay for the "experience" of the shops decor and location on each purchase. Choice is their own, so i stated both in my post to not deceive
  14. I was trying to be polite. I enjoyed my moment in there, was very aware to just ask for what i want and not expect a browse of what's nicest. Just asked for a specific year and wer checked the stock, non of what i wanted..so asked for a lucky dip proof sov and was happy with what i got. Sure if i was looking to be treated like a king for buying a single sovereign i would have gone elsewhere.
  15. Check out the British Museum if you have time and haven't already been. They have a few coin collections, and a great room with numismatic focus. Lots of production and international coinage. Free as well!
