Freedom of Information Request - Release order of Queens Beast Series

Pampfan

Recommended Posts

I have grown tired of all the guess work of the queens beast series, so i decided to email our friends at the royal mint to provide the release order of the bullion and the proof versions of the coins under the freedom of information act.

I was quite successful with my previous request - so lets see what I can find out?

Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you discover!  Even with designs that have been released, we never know what's coming...10 oz bullion etc.  Maybe we'll eventually see platinum proofs or fractionals as well. Similar to all the sovereign releases this year, it does make it difficult to plan and budget for a collection.

Response received -

they will not release any information on the order - but they reserve the right to change the order of the non-released order based on the order they choose. ?

Oh well - I'm not collecting them anymore anyway - but I tried for the rest of you.

I've asked before (but no harm asking again, especially when it's so pertinent, imho) are the Mint subject to an FOI request, seeing as it's a private company and all. I thought FOIs only applied to public bodies?

The unicorn did it in for the series when I received mine all banged up from the mint and it was then sold out - so I had enough,

Sorry but why are they subject? Am I mistaken that FOI requests only apply to 'public' bodies'?

Some clarity here would be most welcome please! :)

You can go the royal mint website - they will tell you why.

They will tell me why they respond to certain FOIs but not to others?

Can I have a link to that page please?

I live in the USA - so your best bet is to give them a ring and ask.

+44 (0) 345-60-88-300

I do not know what criteria they use - in determining if they can or cannot answer a question.

Hope this helps
