Not quite sure how I missed the bars when we agreed a deal but hey Ho. Good luck with the rest.

We hadn't agreed a deal at all. You offered £800, i came back with £815 but someone agreed a deal and offered payment before you had replied. Just the way it goes.

Yep - noted, just the way it goes.

Very poor show, should have reached out say you were offered more and give the chance to match it.

It happens I guess - that’s why I posted my offer openly as opposed to PM’d the seller. He PM’d me, I replied immediately and agreed the price offered. He then replied saying it had been sold. I’m also on another group where offers are done ‘in the open’ and not via private message. It’s a lot clearer, more open and also can be scrutinised. Hey Ho. No one is dead. He’s probably a few quid better off. As they say in French, “C’est la vie”. 🙏

Or you could have just offered the asking price first off and the items would have been secured immediately rather than going in low?  Nothing was agreed and it wasn't the only offer that came in at a similar time.

Maybe I misunderstood the situation 👍

It can be a competitive market at times on TSF, items can sell almost instantly sometimes, which has got to be a good thing and there is always another deal around the corner 🙂(I haven't bought anything off this page BTW)

I'll be honest, the deal for the bars wasn't done on the SF it was to a private a customer. They came in and offered the asking price before this guy had agreed to my counter offer of £815. If I'd had no buyer by the time he'd accepted the £815 counter offer, we would have a had a deal.

I understand the disappointment but there's nothing sinister or underhand going off here, just someone was quicker to commit to a sale. No big deal or need for dram and they'll be similar bars to buy very soon.
