1891 Victoria sovereign

Good evening joined a few years ago but haven’t posted for a long time, excuse me if posted in wrong place? My partner had a mounted sovereign, sold mount but kept coin. 
Believes it’s worth more than a simple bullion price? if she decides to sell. Would appreciate any info from the clued up forum members on a fair price if she decided to sell in future.

Worth bullion at a stretch, condition is pretty poor tbh, like @dicker said, not scarce by any stretch of the imagination.

I think you've already got the answer here from two knowledgeable members but it doesn't look like the short tail variety of this year and therefore is common.

Personally don't think it commands a premium but the intrinsic value of a gold sovereign could still come in handy one day should you need it 👍🏼

Any how gold is gold still beautiful to look at, & hopefully off to the moon again I jest 😎 will settle for the clouds lol
