For once an ebayer who is not a scamming, binlord, weasel jockey.

Counterfeit and advertised as such. I suspect a contemporaneous counterfeit of the time. A useful pictorial of a somewhat crude counterfeit.

Very crude indeed. An honest seller, but surely no one could pass it off as anything but fake. 

Overpriced though, worth just a couple of quid posted, if anything at all.

Coming in at a hefty weight of 1.6g, they could hardly pass it off as genuine.  £25 for 1.6g of brass.  If someone buys it, I have some brass door knockers that they can have at £5 a gram.
