Totally new to stacking silver, just purchased 10 silver Britain coins. My goal is to hand over to kids in 15 years time, any suggestions on what best to buy regularly each month , thanks

Top 5 steps imho to get a quick grasp on the crazy world of metals.

1) look into a membership on here £6 and month, you have access to all and see new sales right away ( currently takes 3 days and all the good stuff is long gone)

2) get active, get involved in discussions. Ask questions, watch other people's buying habits and what sells quickest. Remember there's no stupid questions, just ignorant answers. Thankfully most are very helpful on here.

3) set a budget and stick to it, don't try to time the market, and certainly don't buy because of FOMO

4) go for a healthy mixture of both gold and silver

5) always keep an exit strategy in mind, life can be weird at times, so try to remain liquid.

Welcome and enjoy.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Thankyou for the advice very much appreciated. At present I'll probably just buy from royal mint as I don't know/ trust others.

Any other recommendations of trusted sites to buy ?

Also should I stick to the britania coins and just build that up to start with ?

Thanks

Silver Trader is a great site for 1oz silver coins specifically.  Silver Bullion Coins & Bars - Silver Trader UK

Personally I find Britannia's a bit boring so prefer the novelty of varying designs.  Depends on whether you'd like the children to keep them or whether they're just intended to be sold to fund something else.

Thanks minted, I only really considered them selling in years to come but they may carry on collecting

For dealers, there are a few which can be cheaper than Royal Mint

Chards, Bleyer, Atkinson, Gerrards, Silver Trader

All reputable..

you'll find your path as you go, look at Silver Trader for collectables, Brits can be found cheaper and when you get the feel of this place, even cheaper, and Silver Trader is also based in gods country too, dont ask for a visit though... he doesnt do walk ins

Top answers here. Especially 3), dollars cost averaging is the best strategy for consistent success imo when buying precious metals. Buy regularly within your budget. Don’t try to wait for the best time to buy.

Or if you want to save to buy in bulk to get cheaper prices, save and put money aside regularly.

Welcome to TSF 🙂
