If you were to sell Double Eagles- which of these three options?

At some point I will start to sell some USA Double Eagles - but where in the UK?

1. Online auction. I've noticed these coins are fetching good prices at online sales nationally but the commission is eye watering. Plus the time scale is forever.

2. Back to the bullion dealer. c**p price for my beautiful pre -1933 California gold babies.

3. On this forum. No idea cos I'm new here.

4. I won't even mention eBay. Ooops I did.

Not the greatest of love for USA gold in the UK I've found in my experience. If it's graded well you can secure a bit more. I find most just view it as common bullion. If it's too much over spot it won't sell.

Shame, lots of great history in USA like our UK sovereign

A few have recently sold on here for between £1480 and £1525. So I'd imagine £1500+ is achievable if in good condition.

To sell on here, I'd advise either using an intermediary like BYB.. or offer to post first to established members.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip
