If one was to attach a label to a coin to impart some information to a casual observer about that coin what info would you include.

For me

1. Name of the coin

2. The mint

3 Weight

4 Metal/ purity

Am I missing anything else?

If you're keeping at home a label '****ing valuable do not ****ing throw me away' incase a family member stumbles over them when they're tidying up. I prefer vaulting everything though so nobody is going to stumble across them by accident 👍🏼

Maybe the year too?

I did think that myself and then thought most people can read the date on the coin itself.

What's the purpose of the label? Is it on display with the coin? In what context?

I got some slabs cheap with a couple of holders for the slabs.  So thought transfer from capsules to slabs and as they have an area for a label I would use that.

Purely an out of interest thing.

Sometimes i find that on small coins like sovereigns, it can be hard to tell the difference between 3 and 5 for instance.

I don't include the weight on a common coin such as a sovereign

By the way, my coins are in capsules, which i slip inside a pvc flip onto which i apply the label. This is just so that if i sell one, i don't have to get the loupe out each time

…it’s not a coin, it’s a tin of beans! 🤭

Was a response to a post about stacking food on the Countering Inflation thread - it’s fatal having Photoshop open on the Mac when I get a daft idea… 🙄🤭😅

Been in this tunnel 6 years,it's only a matter of time? My luck I will reach daylight in the middle of a dual carriage way.

I like to buy the pre-dip rise.
