I would be returning it for a replacement if it arrived like that.

Last thing to say is that the cotton gloves are not the best to be handling proof coins, you should get some powder less latex or professional coin glove/finger covers.

I would return it as well. One reason why I steer clear of numismatics and stick with bullion. Too much hassle.  Even then it's not easy to get good 'uns.

Jeez I'd be really tempted to try and fold them down again 😅

Maybe I shouldn't have returned it. There's no way it could ever be mistaken for a forgery, no self-respecting Chinese forger would make such a cr*p copy 😄

😅😅 very true

Someone had a 1/2 oz iom angel on here recently with an identical problem as yours.

On very close inspection, the only coin in my 5-coin set that has a noticeable imperfection is, thankfully, the regular full sovereign.

So rather than faffing about with returning the whole set, I have swapped it with the perfect sovereign I received a few days earlier!

What will you do with the single sov now with the Mark's?? Return or move on?

My main motivation was just having a perfect (or close to perfect) set of five. I'm not bothered enough to return the single full sovereign although I probably could do.

Problem sorted, easy life!
