Austria 100 Corona coin

I have only got a few 20 Corona coins. Like the Austrian Philharmonic, although not as thin as the Austrian Ducats, it's a rather thin coin which makes it more difficult to forge.

At this dealer, to my surprise, 20 Corona are more expensive than 100 Corona, per weight, at least at the time I'm looking it up:

They have stopped delivering to the UK after Brexit anyway but maybe you find the same for other dealers?

Here you can see the offers of 100 Kronen coins by trusted German dealers (click on the 100Kr tab). The cheapest offers are quite near spot.

So basically it's like a one ouncer trade coin. Quite large for an ounce at nearly 37mm. Other than that quite normal. Maybe of interest if you're into Austria.

As a collector of original strikes of Austrian coronas, I am not a big fan of the restrikes. It's just not what it pretends to be, if you know what I mean. But if you can get restrike of 1915 100 corona cheaper per oz than standard 1oz pure gold coins, then it may make sense from a stacking perspective. Plus it brings some variety to your stack...

But I don't think it is any different than any bullion gold from an investment perspective.
