Hello everyone,

I'm totally new to this and having watched some backyard bullion videos think I may be hooked :)

I'm planning on buying silver to pass down, so not interested in making a quick profit. I also want to buy silver just for its value and not fancy collectable pieces (if that makes sense, still need to learn all the terminology!), I think that makes me a stacker?

It may sound daft but I think there is something great about shiny coins and bars!

This forum is a great resource, so thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.

Welcome  Big Mac, i do both, stack and collect and once you are fully hooked its hard not to delve into the nice shiny collectible coins too, i do that for my own personal collection but stack for investment so a good mix between both.. long term the collectible coins will gain on premium paid but stacking bullion like Brits, Maples and Kangaroos is a good start.

Brits first if youre purely doing it for investment as CGT free

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
