Been lurking for a while but this is my first post.

Started stacking in August 2010, shortly after the birth of my first and only child.

First purchase was a 1996 1 oz Kookaburra from Ebay for £16/£17, I remember spot price was around $19 at the time. 6 months later it was in the 40's, so mine was a wild introduction.

Made lots of mistakes, paid too much, bought things I could never sell, all the usual things. Fortunately, I ran out of money before I could buy too much at the very top.

Learned very quickly to buy from Europe and sell on eBay, reducing my average cost as spot plummeted. Been doing this for 5 years now and have accumulated more silver (and a little bit of gold) than I could have imagined possible when I started.

Hopefully the next 5 years will be as productive and who knows, spot price may even go up...
